Miles hadn't paid any attention to his sister's words; his admiration for Caleb had only deepened.
He was increasingly impressed by this little guy's steady, unflappable nature.
Macy was impatient. Seeing her brother remain silent, she grew anxious. "Miles, say something!"
Miles exuded a deep, unfathomable aura. His fingers tapped idly against his side, making it impossible to guess what he was thinking.
Jade was anxious inside as well, but she kept her composure, playing the caring observer.
"Little Caleb, they just want you to take off the mask so the tech team can check it. It won't hurt you at all, so why won't you cooperate?"
Wesley felt his sister made sense, and he echoed her sentiments on stage.
"See, everyone? This child refuses to cooperate, which only proves one thing—he's feeling guilty."
Yara boldly marched onto the stage, shielding the little boy. "Don't be afraid, Caleb! Mommy and I are here to cheer you on."
Caleb looked toward his mother and sister, blinking slightly to send a message.
He wanted to let his mother and sister know he wasn't afraid and that they shouldn't worry about him.
Quinn, still anxious, gave her son a supportive hand gesture of encouragement.
Yara shot a cold glare at Wesley's group and mocked, "You have absolutely no proof, so you resort to bullying a three-year-old child. Aren't you ashamed?"
A flash of panic crossed Wesley's face. His eyes darted around evasively as he pointed at Caleb's mask.
"I... I just asked him to cooperate and take off the mask. Who's bullying him?"
Yara then cast an icy look down at Jade in the audience. "You must be Leo's mother, right? The only reason you're saying such awful things is that your kid couldn't answer the question and got beaten to the punch by my Caleb. You're just a sore loser, aren't you?"
