She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 352

Miles hesitated for a moment. Standing by the upstairs window, he watched Quinn's frail figure limp out of the car, acting as if he hadn't heard Jade's voice at all.

"Miles, are you there?"

When he didn't reply, Jade frowned, her tone growing anxious.

"Jade, let's reschedule. I have some urgent matters to take care of today."

"What?"

Jade's voice was laced with grievance. "Miles, Leo has been waiting at home for you all morning..."

Miles's tone softened with a hint of apology. "Please explain it to him for me. Tell him Daddy Miles will treat him to a day at the indoor amusement park to make up for it."

Jade tried another angle. "Leo doesn't want to go to the amusement park. He really wants to play at Regency Bay. Can I bring him over?"

Miles really didn't want Leo running around the estate. That indoor playground hadn't been built for him, anyway.

Remembering the harsh words Luna had spoken to him, a dull ache throbbed in his chest.

He had no idea when he would get to see that little girl or her smart brother again.

"Let's wait a few days, Jade. I need Jack to have the play area thoroughly sanitized and deep-cleaned. Leo has sensitive skin; I wouldn't want him exposed to any germs."

Jade gripped her phone tightly. She could hear the rejection loud and clear, and it infuriated her.

Breaking his promise today was bad enough, but now he was refusing to let Leo visit Regency Bay altogether.

Was this because of Quinn?

Or did that wild child, Luna, already play there, and he didn't want Leo intruding?

She suppressed her mounting displeasure, keeping her voice sweet and delicate, yet making sure her disappointment was evident.

"Alright, Miles. We'll wait until Jack has completely sanitized everything. But, Grandma Evelyn's birthday is coming up, and I want to pick out a gift for her. Could you accompany me so I can choose something she'll truly love?"
