Macy refused to back down. She shot a nasty glare at Jack and Gail, issuing an ultimatum.

"Today, I want Quinn to make it with her own two hands! None of you are allowed to help her, or you'll see what happens!"

Just as Miles walked through the door, he heard his sister's tyrannical shouting. His face darkened instantly.

"Macy, I could hear you acting like a spoiled brat from outside! Do you think Mom's coddling gives you the right to do whatever you want?"

"If you want food, have Gail make it. Why are you forcing Quinn? Can't you see she's injured?"

Seeing her brother walk in, Macy's expression shifted, and her voice lost its bravado.
