In the car, Quinn and Miles sat on opposite ends of the backseat, leaving enough space for two people between them. Neither said a word.
Midway through the ride, Yara called. Quinn answered softly, but Miles could still hear everything.
She confirmed the ordeal was over and the million-dollar settlement was secured.
Yara grumbled that Wesley got off too easy, throwing in a few colorful curses.
She then asked when Quinn was coming home, mentioning that Stacy Jarvis had already finished making dinner.
Quinn explained that Grandma Evelyn had invited her out, so she wouldn't be home for dinner and told them to eat without her.
Yara immediately realized she was with Miles and didn't pry any further.
Miles also received a call. It was from Macy York, reminding him that the concert was the day after tomorrow and not to forget it.
She also added that Jade would be there. Miles frowned, about to say something, but his sister had already hung up.
The Sovereign Table was Fairmont's most renowned private dining establishment, carrying on the tradition of imperial banquets using only the finest, freshest ingredients.
They rejected artificial flavorings, relying entirely on the natural essence of the ingredients to create dishes that were both exquisite and nourishing.
The older generation of Fairmont's elite circle loved dining here.
The manager immediately recognized Miles's Bentley and rushed forward to greet them warmly. "Evelyn York is already waiting upstairs."
Miles and Quinn navigated the tranquil courtyard, winding past pavilions until they reached a private suite on the second floor. Soft gossamer curtains and celadon ornaments created a beautifully elegant atmosphere.
Ingrid was standing by Evelyn's side, chuckling as she spoke. "Madam, Jack and Gail said that even though the young master and young madam bicker, he still went out of his way to pick out..."
"Grandma Evelyn."
Miles seemed to know exactly what Ingrid was about to say and quickly stepped in to cut her off.

I would have accepted the jerk husband ending up with the heroine if he’s only powerful, intelligent but he’s so powerless and so stupid....
Can you make Ethan be the endgame? That Miles is a total jerk....
