Wasn't Miles a notorious germaphobe?
Aside from her, no other woman was ever allowed to get within an inch of him.
Even if someone accidentally brushed against his sleeve, he would mercilessly back away.
His territory was absolutely off-limits to the opposite sex. She was the sole, permanent exception.
She had always believed she was the only one allowed to get close to him, to touch him.
That bed, that intensely private sanctuary belonging only to Miles—she was the only one worthy of sleeping there.
But now...
Why?
Why was this shameless woman allowed to do the same?
The toxic vines of jealousy tightened violently around her heart, suffocating her.
Her nails bit into her palms. The sting of pain was the only thing keeping her facade of gentle fragility intact. Only Quinn could see the twisted resentment and dark fury boiling in her eyes.
Quinn suddenly realized that watching Jade stew in her jealous rage brought a surprising spark of satisfaction.
Though she was just sleeping in the master bedroom for a fee tonight, completely clueless as to why Miles demanded it.
She couldn't understand the dramatic love games these two played, nor did she care to.
But compared to making ten thousand dollars, she'd rather just go back to her own room for a decent night's sleep.
After all, Miles's money was never easy to earn. Every transaction seemed to require sacrificing a piece of her sanity.
Jade's eyes shimmered with tears, a hand clutching her chest. She still refused to believe it, or rather, couldn't accept it.
The Miles who was so cold and repulsive toward all other women was letting Quinn sleep in his bed.
It was a glaring neon sign that she was no longer his one and only.
Miles was completely oblivious to the silent war waging between the two women.
His original intent was simply to stop Jade from bothering Quinn, so he carried Quinn into his room and negotiated terms along the way.
She would sleep in the master bedroom tonight for a massive fee. A purely transactional arrangement until Jade finally moved out of Regency Bay.

I would have accepted the jerk husband ending up with the heroine if he’s only powerful, intelligent but he’s so powerless and so stupid....
Can you make Ethan be the endgame? That Miles is a total jerk....
