She Walked Away With His Twins, While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 48

Jade hoisted him onto a nearby chair. Pulling a compact mirror from her purse to touch up her makeup, she absentmindedly agreed.

Caleb was currently watching a highly sophisticated mini-robot spinning and dancing on a display table, mesmerized by its fluid mechanics.

Completely captivated, he wandered closer to get a better look.

He scrambled onto a stool, staring unblinkingly at the tech, his brain rapidly reverse-engineering its complex internal structure.

Leo suddenly lunged forward to grab the robot. Caleb quickly intervened.

"You can't touch that. The sign explicitly says 'Display Only'."

Leo was an entitled brat who took whatever he wanted; he didn't care about rules.

He let out a defiant huff, ignoring Caleb completely, and swiped wildly at the machine.

Because the robot was actively dancing, his clumsy fingers missed. Furious, he slammed his hand down on the delicate tech.

The brutal hit knocked the robot clean off the edge of the table. It smashed into the hard tile floor.

The upbeat music abruptly died. The machine was visibly shattered.

A frantic staff member bolted over at the sound of the crash. "Oh my god! Who broke the AI unit?"

"The sign clearly says do not touch! You break it, you buy it! Parents, you need to watch your kids!"

Terrified of getting in trouble, Leo didn't even hesitate. He leveled a dramatic finger straight at Caleb. "It... it was him! He broke it!"

Caleb straightened his posture, his voice soft but ringing with terrifyingly clear logic.

"It wasn't me. You're the one who hit it."

"It was you! It was you! I saw you do it!"

Desperate to save his own skin, Leo doubled down, screaming his lungs out to force the blame onto Caleb.

Annoyed but completely unbothered, Caleb casually pointed a finger at the heavy security camera mounted in the corner.

He issued a deadpan warning. "You're lying. That camera up there recorded everything. Lying is a terrible habit, you know."
