She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 517

"You look exactly like a classmate of mine."

"It's alright. It's wonderful to meet you. I hope we can be good friends."

Quinn still harbored a sliver of doubt. Was she really not Polly Parrish?

They looked identical!

Even her voice was the same.

Could there really be two people in the world who looked that much alike?

Someone approached to greet Zachary. He smiled and said, "Serena, Quinn is the same age as you. You two should have plenty to talk about. I need to step away for a moment."

"Okay, Zack, go ahead. I'll chat with Quinn."

Quinn had originally assumed that Zack's sister would share his kind, transparent, and gentle nature.

But staring at the face that looked exactly like Polly Parrish, and meeting the gaze directed at her, Quinn saw the dark, swirling jealousy in her eyes. It was the exact same look Polly had given her all those years ago.

An indescribable feeling of disgust crept up her chest, making her skin crawl.

Serena took a few steps closer, a sweet smile plastered on her face. "My brother mentioned you haven't been doing so well lately. If you ever need help with anything, feel free to come to me. But... it would be best not to bother my brother."

Quinn understood the hidden meaning behind her words. Out of respect for Zack, she didn't snap back at her.

"Don't worry, I won't be troubling Zack in the future."

Serena smiled, though the smile was entirely hollow and laced with a veiled warning.

"Also, please refrain from mentioning names that have nothing to do with me in front of my brother. I am Serena Wells now."

Her words were an indirect way of telling Quinn to mind her own business. The old Polly Parrish was dead; she had reinvented herself as a wealthy heiress.

Quinn took another careful look at her. She really was completely different from before. Not in her features, but in her aura.

It was the scent of money—an arrogant, aristocratic air that faintly radiated the superiority of a pampered life, tinged with deep condescension.

For Zack's sake, Quinn had chosen to bite her tongue at the first remark. But now that the cards were on the table, there was no need to hold back.

"Polly—Serena Wells, you should know my personality by now. If people leave me alone, I leave them alone. But if someone insists on provoking me, I absolutely will not take it lying down!"
