The two kids ran over to the neighboring three-bedroom apartment to play. "Daddy, you must be tired today," Luna said. "Let me massage your shoulders."

"Daddy's not tired at all," Ethan replied.

Noticing a colorful Paper Crane in Luna's hand, Ethan smiled. "Since when do you know how to fold these, Luna?"

"I didn't fold it, Daddy. The Weird Uncle folded it for me. Isn't it pretty?"

Ethan's expression faltered slightly, clearly surprised that Miles York would bother learning arts and crafts just for the kids.

"It's very pretty."

"By the way, is your mom back?"

"She is! She's next door talking to Aunt Quinn. Oh, and I saw the Weird Uncle today too. I don't know what Mommy gave him, but he looked super angry."

"Tomorrow, after I get back from the hospital, I'll make him sign it."

"Or maybe he'll have someone draft a new agreement tomorrow and force me to sign some sort of NDA."

Just as Ethan was about to step through the doorway, he overheard their conversation. Pushing up his glasses, a thoughtful look flickered in his peach-blossom eyes.
