She Walked Away With His Twins, While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 72

Evelyn glared at him. "What, am I not allowed to visit?"

"Evelyn, what are you saying? I would never think that."

"I heard Quinn is living on the first floor?"

Miles's gaze swept over Jack, who hurriedly lowered his head.

Evelyn's expression darkened. "Why are you glaring at Jack? I forced it out of him."

"Evelyn, I work on the second floor and don't want to be disturbed, which is why I had Quinn stay on the first."

Evelyn declared, "I don't care what happened before. From today on, Quinn must move into the master bedroom."

Miles: "..."

He had just been about to pull out his phone and tell Hunter about a business trip to avoid this for a few days.

But Evelyn suddenly thumped her cane against the floor.

"I already checked with Hunter. You don't have any business trips this week. Your next one isn't until next week."

Miles seriously considered firing his assistant. The man had leaked his entire itinerary to his grandmother.

Evelyn added, "Also, I'll be staying at Regency Bay for the next few days."

Miles's heart sank. What exactly was she plotting?

Just as he opened his mouth to object, Evelyn broke into a violent coughing fit.

Ingrid rushed to pat her back. "Evelyn, your health has always been fragile. The doctor said you can't be subjected to any stress. You must stay calm."

Miles's jaw twitched. The words he was about to say lodged painfully in his throat, suffocating him.

"What are you all standing around for? Go move her belongings up to the master bedroom on the second floor."

Quinn arrived just in time to hear the order. Startled, she blurted out, "Evelyn, you're here! I... I like living on the first floor. It's quiet and private. I don't want to move upstairs."

Seeing her return, Evelyn's expression softened, and her coughing miraculously stopped.

"Quinn, my dear, come sit here."

If they didn't move into the master bedroom, how would she ever get her great-grandchildren?
