She Walked Away With His Twins While He Begged the Ground She Walked On novel Chapter 98

She was being far too aggressive!

Quinn, loving the warmth radiating off her human teddy bear, tugged hard on his tie to pull him closer.

Caught entirely off guard, Miles tumbled forward, his chest slamming flush against hers.

Her soft lips accidentally brushed against his jawline.

An electric shock ripped through his body, paralyzing him so completely that he forgot to push her away.

That was the exact moment Hunter and Noah stepped into the room. Hunter's jaw unhinged.

His mouth twitched in awe. His boss was a terrifyingly good actor—this looked incredibly real.

Noah, however, gave a satisfied nod, smiling knowingly. It seemed Mr. Pierce had worried over nothing.

The moment Mr. York got into the room, he couldn't keep his hands off his wife. Clearly, their marriage wasn't just for show.

He placed the vintage wine on the counter and instructed the server to uncork it. "Mr. York, Mr. Pierce sent this up for you and your lovely wife. He hopes you enjoy your evening to the fullest."

The server had already decanted the wine and poured two glasses.

Unaware that it was a heavily spiked aphrodisiac, Miles simply assumed the Pierces were treating him to their legendary private reserve.

He took a sip. Noah beamed meaningfully and exited the room.

Hunter practically ran out behind him, pulling the door securely shut.

Miles thought back to the accidental kiss, his heart stumbling over a beat.

The next second, disgust washed over him. He bolted for the bathroom to scrub himself raw. He shed his suit and viciously washed his face and brushed his teeth, determined to erase every trace of her touch.

But as he scrubbed, his fingers brushed against the exact spot her lips had touched, and an inexplicable, searing heat flared in his chest.

He aggressively washed his face several more times before finally stepping out of the shower.

While he was gone, Quinn had managed to strip off her outer clothes, tossing the duvet over her half-dressed body before passing out again.

Oblivious to the fact that she wasn't in her own bed, the liquor had completely compromised her usually low tolerance.
