She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 417

Sybil also lowered her voice. "Dad, even if you have people pressure Loyce, she has the Lonsdale family backing her. If she runs into any trouble, the family will definitely step in to help. My three cousins all adore her."

"Silly child, if they really step in to help, it just gives us a better excuse to make an issue out of it," Alicia sneered. "So what if she can play a little piano? She's still just a useless heiress trying to grab everything in sight, but her greed will be her downfall."

Edgar suddenly asked, "Where's your brother?"

Sybil lowered her eyes, a flash of gloom crossing them. "He refused to come."

"Ignore him." Seemingly knowing the reason, Alicia looked displeased. "His rebellious phase isn't over yet. Sybil, now that you've mostly recovered, you need to show your face more. I'll use 'Élégance' to back you up. By then, your resume will be much stronger than Loyce's. You should also take this chance to lock down a powerful fiancé from a wealthy family and strengthen our position."

Using the high-end fashion brand 'Élégance' to back her up was undeniably better than 'Bloomberry,' right?

Sybil immediately felt a surge of confidence and said obediently, "Mom, I definitely won't let you down this time."

As soon as Loyce stepped outside and walked down the steps, she ran into Leroy Seabrook, who was jogging back in a tracksuit.

Seeing her, the young man stopped in his tracks. The initial surprise on his face quickly shifted to a serious expression. "Didn't you say you wouldn't come to our housewarming party?"

Loyce also stopped, speaking mildly, "I suddenly changed my mind."

"You might be able to outplay my sister, but you definitely can't beat my parents," Leroy said bluntly. "You have the favor of your brothers in the Lonsdale family, and you're the apprentice of the piano master X. Your future is already boundless. There's no need to come and fight my parents over Macrostar. They have plenty of ways to ruin your reputation. Don't be too greedy."

Hearing him analyze so much for her all of a sudden, Loyce raised an eyebrow, sizing him up with amusement. "Sounds like you're actually looking out for me?"

Leroy gave a low huff. "Anyway, I've said my piece."

"I don't think your parents are all that difficult to deal with," Loyce smiled faintly. "These little tricks are really nothing to fear."

"But I can give you a piece of advice." Loyce walked to her car, the bodyguard opening the door. She looked back at Leroy. "Macrostar will absolutely be mine, and your family will be crushed by me sooner or later. You might want to start making plans for yourself."

With that, Loyce bent down and got into the car. The bodyguard shut the door. Leroy watched her car drive off for a long time before forcing a single word through his teeth: "Arrogant!"

Naturally, the news of her heading to the luxury mall reached the building's management team immediately.

As soon as Loyce arrived at the mall entrance, a dedicated staff member was there to greet her, bowing respectfully. "Ms. Lonsdale, please hand the car and keys to us. We have also assigned a personal shopping concierge who will guide you the entire time."

"No need," Loyce said. "I'm just going to browse around and do a quick inspection. Don't alert the staff downstairs."

"Understood." The management didn't push it, simply handing Loyce a business card. "My name is Mr. Woods, part of the VIP department. I primarily handle important client relations. If you need anything at all, contact me, and I'll be right over."

"Okay." Loyce accepted the card. After handing the keys to the valet, she strolled leisurely toward the escalator, heading straight for the basement level.

Seeing her head to the basement, the managers exchanged bewildered looks. What was the boss doing down there?

In the entire luxury mall, the basement level was the only floor that didn't sell high-end goods, consisting solely of shops selling mid-to-low-tier products.

Mr. Woods remarked, "It's good for Ms. Lonsdale to take a look downstairs. If anyone dares to act like a snob, we can take the opportunity to clean house."
