She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 796

"The Shapiros kicked us out?! How dare they!" Luna had never been subjected to such humiliation in her life. She spun around and shrieked at the staff in the courtyard, "Where is Lucian?! Tell him to come out here!"

The only person who walked out was Loyce. She picked up a stray piece of clothing and tossed it out the gates. Meeting Luna's fiery glare, Loyce tilted her chin up slightly. "This is my house now. I decide who stays."

"Furthermore, my husband's assets are my assets. His authority is my authority."

Loyce continued coolly, "Every cent your family has spent since worming your way back here, I'll write off as Lucian's generous charity. But starting today, the Shapiro family is cutting off all your financial access in Harmony Country. That includes all Shapiro-owned shopping centers, entertainment agencies, and luxury venues."

"If Miss Luna wishes to maintain her lavish lifestyle, she can have her wonderful boyfriend earn it with his own two hands."

With that, Loyce signaled the butler to shut the massive iron gates.

At that exact moment, Lucian, sitting upstairs, made a call. "Keep a close eye on Luna's movements."

Through the gates, the butler politely informed Baldwin's family, "It's quite a long walk down the mountain, and cabs rarely come up here. If you start walking now, you might make it to the city before dark to find a place to stay."

Luna was losing her mind. She gripped the iron bars, her eyes red with fury. "Loyce! You'll regret doing this to me! I swear I won't let you get away with this!"

The butler paused, cleaning his ear with a pinky. "Miss Luna, that phrase is practically your catchphrase at this point. Honestly, who do you think you are? Do you really believe you have the leverage to threaten the lady of the house?"

The butler's sarcasm pushed Luna over the edge. She turned her fury onto Channing. "You said this was guaranteed to work! You promised! Why did you let that bitch humiliate me like this?!"

Throughout this entire ordeal, Baldwin's family's only real backing was Ares Global. Even if Luna wanted to walk all over them, they had no choice but to swallow it.

Channing supported Luna the whole way down the mountain, draping his jacket over her shoulders and apologizing profusely. She rewarded him by screaming at him in rapid-fire French, jabbing her finger in his face.

"I don't even know why I thought I was so in love with you! I ignored my father's warnings to come to Harmony Country for you, and you turn out to be a complete loser who can't beat Lucian at anything!"

"You came from the same womb, how the hell is there such a massive difference?!"

Channing's eyes darkened, the veins in his neck bulging as he forced himself to swallow his rage. He didn't dare snap back at her.

"We'll find a hotel to crash at first, then plan our next move," Baldwin said grimly. "Yale Nash isn't going to sit still."

However, after dragging their suitcases from sunrise to sunset and finally reaching a bustling commercial district, they were rejected by five consecutive high-end hotels.

The reason was always the same. The concierges just offered a polite, standard smile. "Our upper management has issued specific instructions. We cannot accommodate your party."

"Copy that," Quintin chirped.

Torrents of data cascaded across their screens. Loyce's hands never stopped moving. The tension in the room was palpable.

After what felt like hours, they spoke in unison. "Got it."

The moment she hit 'Enter', a crisp red dot materialized on the digital map.

Quintin cheered. "We all knew Ares Global's headquarters was somewhere in the Oceanic Federation, but it's a massive continent with countless subsidiaries and factories. Their exact HQ coordinates have always been heavily guarded by military-grade encryption. This is the first time we've ever pinpointed them!"

Lucian's voice was sharp. "I'll alert the department. Have them position a satellite for covert surveillance."

Loyce smiled faintly. "I guess Luna finally snapped."

"The pampered princess of the world's biggest arms dealer acting like a homeless vagrant?" Quintin chuckled. "She's rotting in a cheap hostel right now. She must want you dead."

Loyce's smirk deepened. "That's not enough. People who are used to looking down on everyone else suffer the most when they realize they can be stepped on by ordinary people."
