She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 867

Zeke Shapiro leaned on his cane, his eyes scanning the breathtaking venue, a lump forming in his throat.

"Thank God you finally found your happiness," the old man whispered roughly. "Thank God."

The guests quickly filled the seats. The crowd was a mix of political heavyweights, corporate titans, legendary doctors, and the elite soldiers who had fought alongside Lucian in the darkest corners of the world.

The soft, enchanting melody of the processional began, flowing effortlessly from Morris's fingertips, accompanied by a small string quartet.

Everyone turned toward the start of the glass aisle.

Loyce appeared.

She wore a breathtaking, elegant white gown. It wasn't overly extravagant, but the craftsmanship was flawless, featuring delicate, hand-embroidered vines and flowers that seemed to shimmer with her every step.

A cathedral-length veil trailed behind her, the edges dusted with tiny pearls that caught the sunlight.

Arm in arm with her grandfather, Gordon, she walked steadily toward Lucian.

Lucian stood at the altar in a sharply tailored white tuxedo, a matching lily of the valley pinned to his lapel. He looked incredibly handsome, but he stood completely frozen, as if terrified that blinking might shatter the dream.

As their eyes met, Loyce's lips curved into a radiant smile, tears pricking her eyes.

When she finally reached him, Lucian reached out and gently took her hands.

His palms were slightly damp, his fingers trembling.

"Nervous?" she whispered affectionately.

He swallowed hard. "Yeah."

She squeezed his hands. "Me too."

Forrest, acting as the officiant, cleared his throat. He was used to addressing massive shareholder meetings, but his voice was audibly shaking.

"We're gathered here today to witness my sister's wedding. It hasn't been an easy road for them, as I'm sure many of you know."

A ripple of light laughter went through the crowd.

Forrest took a deep breath. "Because of our family's mistakes, my sister spent years struggling on her own. She didn't need the Lonsdale name to become the incredible woman she is today. She built her own empire."

He paused, looking at Loyce with shining eyes. "So, when she first brought Lucian home, I was against it. We were terrified she'd get hurt again. We didn't want the life she fought so hard for to be ruined."

The venue was completely silent.

Forrest smiled. "But she proved us wrong. And Lucian proved that he is worthy of her." He turned to Lucian, his expression turning deadly serious. "Take good care of her."

From the front row, Hank suddenly yelled out, "I'm not much of a talker, but I know how to throw a punch. If you ever make her cry, I will end you!"
