She Was the Treasure All Along novel Chapter 921

The men squinted in the dim light for a few seconds, confirming her identity. Exchanging knowing glances, the group of students decided it was time to demand justice for Dr. Egan.

Giselle had just taken a sip of her soup when the students marched up to her table. Suppressing their anger, they demanded, "Aren't you Dr. Egan's girlfriend? What are you doing out here in the middle of the night eating with another man? What's going on between you two?"

Giselle glanced up, vaguely recognizing the students from their brief previous encounter.

"We're not dating," she replied calmly. "It was just a single blind date."

The students froze, their expressions dropping. "What?"

"You have a boyfriend and you're still going on blind dates?" one of the girls snapped, growing even more furious. "You're just playing with our professor's feelings. You can't do that!"

"We are just friends," Giselle stated firmly. "And my private life is none of your business. You should all get back to campus."

Hank tapped his fingers against the tabletop, his gaze darkening as he looked at the group. "Kids, if you don't clear out of here right now, I'm going to lose my temper."

His tone sounded casual, but the unseen, suffocating pressure he radiated sent a chill down the students' spines. They exchanged nervous glances and quickly scattered. However, the commotion had drawn the attention of the other patrons in the diner, who were now looking at Giselle's table with unabashed curiosity.

Giselle wiped her mouth. "I'm full. Let's head back."

"You still have so much left. Are you really done?" Hank asked, eyeing the half-empty bowl in front of her.

Giselle shook her head. "I can't eat anymore. I'll just end up with a stomachache."

"Fair enough. Pass it over, then. I'm still starving," Hank said effortlessly. Under her stunned gaze, he pulled her bowl toward him, grabbed a fork, and dug in without a second thought.

Watching him polish off her leftovers in a few quick bites, Giselle blinked. "I already ate from that."

Hank chuckled. "We already have a child together. Are we really drawing boundaries over a bowl of food?"

The surrounding diners leaned in closer, thoroughly invested in the gossip.

Giselle was speechless.

She stood up and walked out. Hank followed right behind her, a wide smirk on his face.

When they arrived back at the hotel, the receptionist noticed Giselle's stony expression. As Hank walked past, the woman leaned in and whispered, "Did you talk things out with your wife?"
