She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 234

On her way back from the airport, Jasmine walked straight into a massive crowd of Josie Somerset's fans waiting at arrivals.

They wore headbands plastered with Josie's name and signature colors, holding up glowing signs. They chatted in excited clusters, frequently dropping Rowan's name.

Jasmine paused, letting out a helpless chuckle.

Right now, the fans shipping Josie and Rowan were making more noise than she was as his actual girlfriend.

Elara glanced at the chaotic scene and scoffed, her voice dripping with disgust. "These fans are so gross. They're constantly trying to shove their idol onto Rowan."

"Once you and Rowan are officially engaged, they'll completely disappear," Tabitha said with a dismissive smile. "They're just a bunch of nobodies."

"True, the engagement is only a few days away," Elara said happily. "The news will definitely feature you and Rowan. I can't wait to see Josie's fans get slapped in the face with reality."

Jasmine smiled. Since the engagement was so close, she hadn't bothered picking a fight with Josie.

But once she and Rowan were officially engaged, she was going to deal with this mess. By then...

Thinking about it, Josie's fans really didn't have much time left to act up.

Jasmine was actually looking forward to that day.

Once she got home, Jasmine called Maisie to catch up. "Maisie, how have you been lately?"

"Jasmine!" Maisie sounded thrilled to hear from her, having been bored out of her mind.

Jasmine wanted to fish for updates on Lyra, but more importantly, she wanted to discreetly find out how Charles had reacted to Lyra's heroic rescue. After all, the word was that the local government was incredibly grateful to Lyra. Had Charles started looking at Lyra differently because of it?

But Maisie didn't know much.

Over the phone, Maisie suggested, "You should just ask Rowan, Jasmine."

Jasmine laughed. "How would he know?"

After hanging up with Maisie, Jasmine thought for a moment and dialed Lucas. He had been banished to a rural subsidiary, but his phone went straight to voicemail.

Tossing her phone aside, Jasmine refused to just sit around waiting. She decided it was time to step up and work for both her family's company and the Jameson Group.

So what if Lyra had government backing!

Jasmine was going to shine in her professional field. Her allure would completely overshadow Lyra's.

That very day, Jasmine marched into the Jameson Group and told Rowan about her plan.

"Won't running between two companies exhaust you?" Rowan asked, sounding genuinely concerned.

Jasmine's heart lightened, the tension fading from her eyes. "No, I love diving deep into my profession."

Rowan nodded in approval and didn't press the matter further.
