As the two bent over to make the bed together, Martha looked at how careful she was and couldn't help but tease with a smile, "Seeing how much you care about Mr. Sutton, it's like watching you chase after Mr. Jameson all over again."
Lyra's cheeks heated up, and she replied helplessly, "Martha, please don't make fun of me."
"This time, I'm wishing you complete success."
After they finished tidying up and left the complex, Lyra took out her phone and texted Zane, letting him know the place was clean.
Not long after, Zane replied:
"Thanks for the hard work. I'll treat you to dinner tomorrow. You don't need to come to the airport to pick me up, let's just meet at The Star Court Hotel."
The hotel wasn't far from the airport.
Lyra thought that worked perfectly.
Zane would have been on a flight for over ten hours. He'd definitely be starving if he couldn't stomach the airplane food, so a nice hotel dinner made sense.
Besides, she wanted to dress up, and she didn't want to ruin her dress or get her heels stepped on at a crowded airport.
Thinking of this, Lyra naturally agreed.
...
The next day, around six in the evening.
Delilah and the others were about to start dinner. Delilah called out to her daughter, who was still getting ready upstairs, "Are you really not having dinner?"
Lyra's voice echoed back, "I'm saving my appetite for a feast."
"Just leave her be," Caleb said.
He helped Kayla sit down and started eating.
Just as they were finishing up, Lyra gracefully descended the stairs, twirling excitedly in her dress in front of them.
Kayla couldn't help but marvel, "You look gorgeous."
Delilah nodded with a smile.
