She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 355

Once he was gone, a faint blush crept onto Elara's cheeks. "Jasmine, did you bite his lip while you guys were making out? We were all too embarrassed to even look at him."

Jasmine, already pale, turned completely ashen. She hadn't realized everyone else was thinking the exact same thing.

"You're a kid. Keep your nose out of this," she deflected out of pure panic.

"I'm not a kid anymore," Elara shot back.

Jasmine sat frozen, her mind spinning in chaotic circles. "He probably just accidentally bumped it on something," she stammered defensively.

Elara pursed her lips. "How do you bump a lip like that? You guys must have gotten incredibly carried away, and you lost control and bit him."

Those words hit Jasmine like a physical blow, draining the last remnants of color from her cheeks. She completely zoned out, her heart a frantic, messy knot of anxiety.

Her thoughts instantly flashed back to that day at the resort.

She recalled Maddie bringing a bowl of spaghetti downstairs, and Rowan casually asking why she hadn't touched it.

The shop owner had chimed in, asking if it wasn't to the young lady's liking and offering to make something else.

Maddie had simply replied that it wasn't necessary because Lyra had already left.

Jasmine's eyes had instantly locked onto Rowan, scrutinizing his reaction. In that fleeting second, she clearly caught a flash of sheer, unadulterated panic in his eyes—an emotion he expertly masked almost immediately.

In stark contrast, Leo wore his emotions on his sleeve, immediately scolding Maddie and openly stressing about the treacherous mountain roads. But Rowan's feelings were buried dangerously deep, concealed behind a wall of restraint, never easily exposed.

Not to mention the fact that when the call came in about Lyra's car crash, Rowan was the very first one out the door.

Lyra Fairchild. Don't tell me it was really you.

If it was you, I'll destroy you before you even see it coming.
