Chapter 41
“I’m bored at home. Want to go out?”
Jasmine smiled when she saw the text and replied immediately, “Sure, where to?”
Rowan texted back, “I’ll tell you when I pick you up.”
Their conversation was brief, but Jasmine knew Rowan would have everything perfectly planned out.
Elara noticed her cousin’s mysterious smile and instantly knew something was up. She sneaked a peek at the phone screen and shrieked with excitement. “Jasmine is going on a date with Rowan!”
Her shout drew everyone’s attention in the living room.
Tabitha and Thomas grew visibly thrilled at the mention of a date with the Jameson Group’s CEO.
Thomas ran a modest home-improvement business and could never dream of rubbing shoulders with the Jameson empire. He was banking entirely on his niece joining the billionaire family so he could reap the benefits.
Tabitha urged her daughter to change into something stunning immediately. Even though Jasmine was already beautiful, Tabitha wanted her to look captivating enough to completely lock down Seaborne City’s most eligible bachelor. “Sweetheart, wear that ivory silk dress. It’s so elegant.”
“Yes! You look amazing in that one!” Elara chimed in.
Jasmine agreed, knowing the ivory silk dress perfectly matched the festive holiday atmosphere.
She went upstairs to change.
When she reemerged, the dress hugged her stunning curves, her radiant complexion and graceful demeanor making it impossible for anyone to look away.
Sarah Hayes couldn’t stop praising her. “No wonder the young Jameson CEO fell for Jasmine. With looks like that, who wouldn’t want to make her their wife?”
Grandma Ford nodded with a fond smile. “She reminds me of myself when I was young.”
Jonathan asked, “Are you going to invite Rowan inside to sit for a while?”
Jasmine smiled gently. “Next time.”
Shortly after, Jasmine received a text that Rowan had arrived.
She hurried toward the door, deliberately slowing her pace to a graceful stroll right before stepping outside.
To her surprise, Rowan hadn’t come alone. Lucas and Waylon were with him.
Though Elara felt out of her depth, she didn’t decline the invitation. Opportunities like this were incredibly rare.
The Jameson family possessed absolute power, and Rowan was a legendary figure. Most people couldn’t even secure a brief meeting with him.
The rest of the Ford family, along with Thomas, watched from the floor-to-ceiling windows on the second floor.
Seeing his niece step into the stretch limo, Thomas beamed with pride. “Rowan is as extraordinary as the rumors say, and his friends are top-tier. Jasmine really has some serious pull! It looks like the most elite men in Seaborne City have all shown up for her.”
“Jonathan, Tabitha… you two really raised an incredible daughter. Jasmine is so outstanding, she deserves a man like Rowan.”
Tabitha couldn’t stop smiling.
Even Grandma Ford proudly added, “Our Jasmine has always been exceptional.”
Rowan’s group headed to the city’s most exclusive café. Elara indulged in exquisite pastries she had never tasted in her life. Seeing how much she liked them, Rowan-likely wanting to please Jasmine’s family-had several boxes packed for her to take home.
Elara was absolutely thrilled, convinced her cousin was the luckiest woman in the world.
