She's Too Busy Winning to Watch Him Cry novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42

While Rowan and his friends were deep in conversation, Elara pulled Jasmine aside and whispered, “Jasmine, what about that Lyra Fairchild you mentioned? Do they not hang out with her anymore?”

Jasmine offered a faint smile. “They stopped bringing her around a long time ago. Rowan says she’s boring.”

Elara’s eyes lit up with a smug grin. “Then he definitely thinks you’re interesting.”

Jasmine pressed her lips together into a modest smile.

It was a tacit admission.

Later that evening, Finn and Elara returned home and collapsed onto the sofa, looking as exhausted as if they had just run a marathon.

Tabitha and Thomas gathered around them. “What’s wrong? Why are you two so wiped out?”

Thomas eagerly asked, “So, what do you think of Rowan?”

Finn rubbed his temples. “Being around a guy like him is way too much pressure.”

Elara nodded vigorously in agreement. “His aura is so intimidating. I barely even dared to look him in the eye.”

Tabitha laughed, absolutely delighted by the report. “That just proves only your sister is outstanding enough to stand by his side.”

“Forget about Rowan, even his friends are incredible. But Rowan is definitely the king of the group.” Finn had already completely accepted the man.

Sarah Hayes chimed in, “Tabitha, you are so lucky to have a daughter like Jasmine. Once she joins the Jameson family, all those elite circles you could never break into will be begging for your favor.”

Tabitha smiled, feeling perfectly content.

A few other guests were still lingering at the house, and hearing this made them even more eager to flatter Jonathan, showering Jasmine with endless praise.

Jasmine had always been the golden child everyone else’s parents compared their kids to.

And now, she was securing the perfect marriage.

The Ford family was on the verge of tying the knot with Seaborne City’s absolute top-tier billionaire family.

Jonathan and Tabitha were glowing with pride. It was turning out to be the most satisfying holiday they had ever experienced.

By nightfall, the guests had left, leaving only Thomas and his family behind.

Elara clung to Jasmine’s arm. “Jasmine, can you introduce me to a boyfriend?”

Elara was around the same age as Lyra, in her senior year of college. It was a phase heavily prone to vanity.

Hearing those whispered plans had turned her green with jealousy. “I’ve never even been inside a high-end auction house.”

But she knew Jasmine wouldn’t bring her along this time.

She could only sit in silence and covet her cousin’s life.

Sarah felt a twinge of envy herself.

But knowing her daughter was nowhere near Jasmine’s league, she sighed. “We just have to wait until Jasmine officially joins the Jameson family. Then she can introduce you to some high-quality men.”

Hearing that, Elara suddenly had the overwhelming urge to dump her college boyfriend.

Compared to Rowan, her boyfriend was an absolute joke!

Even someone like Lucas was a million times better.

With her mind made up, Elara pulled out her phone and immediately sent her boyfriend a breakup text.

Jasmine had taught her well: when it came to relationships, you could never drag your feet.
