Chapter 139 Another “Mrs. Norwood”

A sly gleam flickered across Estelle’s face as she flopped onto the bed, her pale, slender legs kicking lazily in the air like she didn’t have a care in the world

“You

He knew she meant every threat. She looked sweet and soft, but underneath it all, she was pure trouble. Dinner at the mayor’s had taught him that much. In the end, he had no choice but to let her stay.

“You’re the best, Evan. I knew you’d let me stay.” Estelle said, swinging her legs and smiling like honey.

Only then did Evan finally understand her purpose-everything she’d said earlier was just misdirection. Her real goal was simply to stay in the villa. By the time he realized it, it was already too late he had already agreed.

‘Mayor’s daughter, alright. Sly as hell.’

“Dr. Norwood, I’m here…”

Artemisia’s voice drifted in from outside the villa. As usual, she had come for her lessons. But the moment she pushed the door open, she froze.

‘A bombshell on par with Ms. Stanton living here? Dr. Norwood sure is something else!’

Seeing Artemisia studying Estelle so intently, Evan quickly introduced, “Artemisia, she’s-”

“Another Mrs. Norwood?” Artemisia blurted before he could finish.

At that, Estelle reacted the same way Sylvie had-startled for a second, then lighting up with joy. “What did you call me?”

“Don’t call her that!” Evan snapped immediately. ‘One person is already misunderstanding and staking her claim as my girlfriend-don’t let another one join in!’

“Why not? You brought her home.” Artemisia smiled brightly. “But Dr. Norwood, you really do have great taste. You only go for absolute stunners!”

She even gave him a big thumbs-up.

Meanwhile, Estelle beamed. “I get compliments all the time, but this? This is new. You really think I’m beautiful?”

“What?!” The shock hit Evan like a thunderbolt. ‘Sylvie’s on her way back? If these two meet, they’re going to fight! Sylvie already sees Estelle as her rival. There will be a full-on collision…’

He had been planning to send Sylvie away for a few days-ideally out of the state entirely. This was her villa after all. But she was returning already?

“No, I have to stop her!”

“Dr. Norwood sure is busy…” Artemisia sighed dramatically as she watched him rush out. To be pursued by two beauties… that’s probably every man’s dream.’

Her thoughts drifted to her old classmate Roxanne. Technically speaking, she should be calling Roxanne “Mrs. Norwood” too. But the three heiresses-Hazel, Roxanne, and Anya-still had no idea Evan had already moved on. They were still foolishly waiting for him to apologize.

Over at Villa No. 9, ever since discovering the drakeblood gemstone had been confirmed as a fake, the three heiresses had been in excellent spirits. It was as if every grievance they ever had toward Evan had vanished.

They were certain Evan would soon come crawling back to admit he was wrong-unless he didn’t value his life.

“Wait a minute… Hazel, look! Isn’t that Evan?”
