Chapter 20 New Home, Oid Faces

The villas of Nine Courts were considered the most lavish in Silverton.

As per its name, there were only nine villas in the area. Its location was amazing, with rumors saying there was mysterious energy of ancient times. For Evan, it was exactly the training ground he needed right now.

However, the prices were horrifyingly high. People said that status checks and asset verifications were required for buyers.

There were only a few who could afford a villa here.

Hazel had once inquired about the price, but even she backed down at the answer received.

“Alright then!” Evan gritted his teeth.

As long as he could cultivate, it did not matter how expensive the rent would be. He wondered who his landlord would be,

though.

“Head inside. Why are you still standing here?”

As Evan was lost in his confusion, Sylvie casually walked toward the villas and opened the doors of Villa No. 1, the most lavish of the nine villas.

He stared at her in shock. “You…”

She smiled. “Oh, I forgot to tell you. This is my home.”

Evan felt speechless as he looked at Sylvie, dressed in fuzzy pajamas.

This villa truly was her home.

“Didn’t you say you’d find a place for me to live? Why did you bring me to your home?”

“You’re my personal physician. Is there something wrong with staying in my home then?”

She blinked at him with beautiful eyes and a mischievous smile.

It was only then that he realized he had been fooled. With a shake of his head, he replied, “That won’t do. We’ll be all alone…”

He moved to leave the villa, but Sylvie stopped him.

“You can’t go!” With cheeks puffed in anger, she said, “I don’t mind, so why do you? Anyway, I’m not completely healed yet. If you stay with me, you can heal me whenever I relapse!

“Also…” Her voice drifted off into a whisper as she blushed.

“Also, what?” Evan asked.

“Also, I can’t cook or clean. Grandpa is also sick. I can’t live by myself…”

By now, she was hanging her head low in shame as her cheeks burned a bright red. “Don’t believe me? I’ll show you…”

Evan was then enlightened on what people meant when they said someone was totally helpless with daily tasks.

“Look out!”

After that came various sounds.

Sylvie was not just bad at cooking and cleaning, but she would also smash any plate she tried to carry.

With a hand on his forehead, he sighed “You’re truly the daughter of a rich family. You can’t do anything… I’ll do it then!”

Helpless and speechless, Evanade dinner for Sylvie. While it was just a simple everyday meal, she thoroughly enjoyed it.

“It’s delicious! Much better than the food made by those international chefs at home.

The joy she showed while eating his food made that strange feeling rise in him once more. It was akin to the satisfaction he once

felt.

Once, he had cooked for Hazel, Roxanne, and Anya.

They enjoyed themselves back then too.

“What is it? Evan, have some food.” Sylvie spoke up when she noticed he had not even started eating.

“Alright.”

He began to eat.

As he ate, he thought to himself, ‘Perhaps I should just stay here.’

Sylvie certainly needed someone to look after her, and the surroundings of this villa would aid in his cultivation.
