Chapter 200 The Heiresses’ Arrogance
Josephine was venting her rage. Alice took a deep breath.
“I felt a little remorse about framing him, but not anymore. It doesn’t matter how well we got along. His actions just proved that people who don’t share your blood will always betray you.”
“Yes, he thought he ruined us, but he was used.”
“I have no respect for him! We might be disgraced, but we will never regret exiling him!”
“Yeah!”
Everyone was of the same mind.
“I want to kill that b*stard!” Rage had gotten to James, and he spewed more blood. Everyone called Evan an ingrate and a pawn of the enemy. Darius’ competitors were just here to make things harder for him. Nothing more.
Now that they had no power or money, it was only natural for their enemies to come after them. Darius had been oppressing them for so long, so now they wanted payback.
The Norwoods had a sick grin on their faces. “We might be suffering, but he’s not getting his happily ever after either. He’s leaving the Solbergs eventually. Cain will have his head then!”
Evan thought he’d have his peace, but Cain had shackled him. Now, they would keep a close eye on Evan just so they could tattle to Cain the second he left the Solbergs.
“Evan!” The heiresses drove ahead and Evan. They honked at him.

Evan looked at them, surprised. “What are you still doing here?”
“It doesn’t matter. Congratulations on clearing your name.”
“You’re innocent now.”
“Cain can’t threaten you anymore.”
The heiresses made it a point to mock Evan. Evan knew these idiots must’ve seen the whole thing, and their mockery infuriated him. His gaze cooled. “And what does that have to do with you?”
The heiresses guffawed. “Of course, it has everything to do with us!”
Hazel said, “You’d better show some respect to us!”
“And why would I do that?” Evan asked coldly.
“Because you are nothing without me! If you make me mad, I’ll kick you out and have you fend for yourself!”
Hazel threatened.
Roxanne and Anya looked at him haughtily as well. At this point, there was no need for pretenses.
Evan smirked, but there was not a sliver of warmth painting his lips. He knew Cain’s threat gave them the confidence to mock him. He thought, ‘And you think that gives you power?’ 1
Evan snapped, utterly done with them, “I’m not going back with you, and you’re not controlling me. Snap out of it and get the f*ck out of any sight!”

“Sure, say whatever you want.” A sneer of disdain curled Hazel’s lips. “But there are only seven days left until the grace period’s over. I’d do what’s smart if I were you.” Then, she slammed the pedal and drove off.
The car shot into the distance, splashing mud all over Evan. Evan froze, but a powerful aura burst forth when he snapped out of it. “Hazel Solberg!” He knew Hazel was only so arrogant because of Cain’s threat.
“So, there’s only a week left for the grace period? Yes, I can’t wait for that day to come.” He couldn’t wait to cut off all ties with them. Something sharp glinted in Evan’s eyes. Cain could wait. He was going to get that divorce, and when he did?
Well, Cain would rue the day he crossed him.
