Chapter 26 The Calm Before the Divorce
Evan let out a cold laugh. Tasul clearly still had no idea that he had already severed ties with her family
‘Did her parents not tell her?”
Whatever the reason, Evan didn’t bother dwelling on it. Whether she knew or not didn’t matter anymore All that remained was the one–month cooling–off period. Once it passed, the divorce would be final for real this time
Inside Villa No. 9, the three heiresses had gathered to discuss what to do about Evan
“Evan’s really lost his sense of self these past couple of days. He was already acting strange at the hospital, and it’s only gotten
worse since then.”
To them, everything Evan had done–his sudden change in demeanor, moving out of the Solberg Residence, following them around, turning cold and hostile, even losing control and hitting Zeke- was nothing more than a display of dissatisfaction aimed at them. And it was getting on their nerves.
Hazel said nothing. She simply picked up her phone and called her mother, Cynthia. The moment the call connected, she snapped, “Mom, Dad–look at the mess you’ve made! You told Evan my whereabouts, and he’s followed me here!”
A
“What? No, we didn’t!” Cynthia sounded completely baffled. They didn’t even know where Evan was, let alone leak Hazel’s
movements.
However, Hazel refused to believe it. “Mom, stop making excuses. I know you and Dad told Evan where I was! From now on, don’t casually tell Evan where I am!”
Cynthia felt like she’d swallowed bitterness she couldn’t explain. What did this have to do with her? Still, when Evan was mentioned, she couldn’t help worrying and added, “Hazel, during this time, keep an eye out for whether that person’s people show up nearby. If you hear anything, let me know immediately
“That person?” Hazel didn’t react right away.
“The big shot Evan offended. Watch for his people,” Cynthia reminded her.
“What? Did something happen?” Hazel asked in surprise.
“Nothing. I’m just worried,” Cynthia brushed it off and ended the call.
Hazel sneered. ‘It’d be perfect if that big shot’s people really did show up nearby. Let Evan see for himself–without us, even staying alive would be a problem. When that happens, he’ll come crawling back on his own, apologizing to us… and to Zeke‘
In another room, Zeke stood in front of the mirror, gritting his teeth as he treated his wounds.
“Hiss…”
Just the lightest touch made him gasp.
As he recalled Evan’s punch, a chilling gleam flashed through his eyes.
‘Some nerve you have, Norwood, to hit me…‘
He pressed his fingers to the side of his face where Evan’s fist had landed, his cheek twitching violently, as if he’d suffered a humiliation he couldn’t bear
“Hazel, we need to find that blood donor as soon as possible,” Zeke said, torcing down his anger once he finished treating the wound “I don’t think my body can hold on much longer.”

After taking that punch from Evan, the urge to get rid of him had nearly boiled over. Zeke had already made up his mind – once that mysterious blood donor was found, he would move against Evan immediately.
“It won’t take long. I’ve already sent people to look. We should have news any montent now,” Hazel replied.
In truth, they were even more anxious than Zeke about the donor’s real identity, which only made them more irritable. “This is all Evan’s fault,” the three of them concluded, laying the blame squarely on him. His rebellious behavior that day had left all of them deeply displeased.
