Thaddeus, Wendy, and Sadie had arrived at the club. They got out and saw something that shocked them. All the cars of the city’s most desired were parked here. Not even the Lounge’s peak had witnessed this level of clientele.
Thaddeus and his family thought their hearts would leap out of their chests. They went into the club, and a manager was already waiting.
“Thaddeus Leighton? Mr. Norwood is waiting,” said the manager without an ounce of respect. His gaze
was cool.
The manager’s respect for Evan put more pressure on Thaddeus’ shoulders. Every step he took felt impossible. He felt as if he would fall into an abyss if he advanced any further.
Eventually, they came to the top floor, and the manager opened the glass doors. The Leightons were transported to another world immediately.
Blinding neon lights danced across the room. Scores of sexy women were surrounding the gigantic pool in the center, swimming, playing, and feeding someone grapes.
This was the epitome of indulgence. Thaddeus and his family were stunned by the sight. Their minds stopped working, and their souls nearly flew out of their bodies.
They stared ahead as if the world itself had broken down. A hundred swimsuit models huddled around one single person. That wasn’t anything they’d seen before. This was every man’s dream. Any emperor would wish for something like this.
Then, Wendy’s shock turned into horror. “Wait, they’re not your regular swimsuit models!”
At first, they thought it was Evan having enough money to arrange 100 swimsuit models to play with him. However, they quickly realized that wasn’t the case upon closer inspection. These weren’t models at all. Instead, they all hailed from horrifyingly powerful factions.
“The Falsimmo heiress, the Ivy Commerce’s heiress, the princess of the Constances…”
As Wendy rattled off names after names, sweat slowly covered her body, drenching the back of her shirt. These women were the most prized ladies of Silverton’s top families. The Leightons were only on par with them back in their peak.
“Oh, dear God!” Wendy raised her voice. “That’s the Director of Security’s daughter! And the Director of Finance’s daughter! And the Director-General of Charity Organizations’ daughter! Even the mayor’s princess is here!”
Wendy was trembling violently, her breathing ragged. Thaddeus and Sadie couldn’t believe it. Even women of that caliber were here? To make matters worse, there were two women in the pool that they
didn’t recognize because they didn’t have the right to.

They were terrified, and they couldn’t believe their eyes. The top families’ heiresses and top women like Jeremiah, Ginevra, and Serena were supposed to be proud. Yet, they had lowered themselves to being a
swimsuit model.
Wendy sharply noticed the mountain of presents and the cake in the center. It was the height of an adult. It was Evan’s birthday. She wondered if these people were here to celebrate.
That thought alone struck her like a lightning bolt.
Everyone noticed the newcomers, and they turned their eyes to them. The pressure mounted. Thaddeus and his family would’ve crumpled if they weren’t leaning against the wall.
