Chapter 79 The Miracle Doctor of Villa No. 1
It was shocking. The miracle doctor they had been searching for all this time had been staying at Villa No. 1. He had been so close.
Hazel and the others had once considered renting Villa No. 1. They had even contacted the previous owner. Unfortunately, they were later informed that the villa had a new owner. They never could figure out just who would be able to purchase Villa No. 1 just like that.
They had thought about visiting, but Zeke’s illness had always kept them from dropping by.
Now, the mystery was finally revealed-the buyer had been the very doctor who had saved Gaitis.
The villa doors were still closed shut, but Caleb continued to wail at the top of his lungs, “I’m sorry! I’ve even brought my daughter, Artemisia, to apologize to you!”
Hazel and Roxanne shivered where they stood.
This was the doctor who had saved Gaius, the Iron Dragon of South Dominion. Yet, Caleb had treated him with such neglect. They couldn’t believe the pressure and fear he was feeling at the moment.
This was what top-tier power looked like.
They had to apologize even though it was the miracle doctor who had failed to arrive on time, which prompted Artemisia to leave. This scene before them just proved that the powerful lived on their own terms.
At the same time, Hazel and Roxanne were dying to find out who this miracle doctor was.
‘We’ll finally be able to meet him now, right?’ Roxanne thought hopefully.
Hazel’s phone rang just as the thought crossed Roxanne’s mind.
It was Zeke.
“Hazel, where are you? I feel terrible…” he breathed weakly.
His illness had flared up again.
His blood supply had run out, and his body was growing weaker by the day. He could only rely on sleeping pills to force himself into rest and dull the pain. It was a temporary measure at best.
“What should we do?” Hazel muttered helplessly.
They were so close to seeing the miracle doctor. Yet, Zeke was now awake.
“Let’s wait a little longer. I’m sure the miracle doctor will come out soon. Once Dr. Stone is done with the apology, we can ask him to treat Zeke!” Roxanne refused to leave.
Hazel gritted her teeth. “Fine. We’ll wait a bit longer!”
She didn’t want to leave either. After all, they were about to meet the legendary doctor.
Alas, the door remained closed no matter how long Caleb and Artemisia groveled.
Hazel grew anxious. “Let’s drop by some other time. Zeke’s health takes priority!”
“Fine. After all, we’re neighbors. We can visit anytime we want,” Roxanne said, casting one last glance back as they left.
Caleb kept shouting, “I’m sorry!”
This time, the doors finally swung open.

Caleb and Artemisia’s eyes widened instantly as they peered inside. Artemisia was especially tense, They heard the sound of footsteps. Soon, they saw a tall, dignified figure approaching them.
“M-Ms. Stanton? Why are you…Caleb gasped.
Artemisia didn’t recognize Sylvie, but she couldn’t help but stare at her. She couldn’t help it, as Sylvie’s beauty could make any woman feel inadequate.
“I am Evan’s fiancée,” Sylvie said calmly.
Evan had a fiancée! The news hit them hard, leaving them speechless.
Caleb remained composed as his respect for Evan deepened further. Meanwhile, Artemisia felt as though her brain had short- circuited.
Evan had a fiancée? Didn’t Evan already have a wife? Hazel! To make matters worse, he and Hazel were still on a divorce cooling -off period. They weren’t truly divorced. Yet, he now had a fiancée? Had Evan cheated?
Artemisia’s impression of him soured even further.
“Ms. Stanton, please inform Mr. Norwood that I have come to apologize!” Caleb hurriedly tried to steer the conversation back.
Sadly, Sylvie remained stone cold as she replied, “I’m the only one here at the moment. Evan hasn’t returned yet.”
“What? He hasn’t returned? I see…” Caleb’s expression shifted, then he said firmly, “It’s fine. We’ll wait until Mr. Norwood comes back!”
“If that is what you wish to do, then be my guest.”
