"Wait, what? Why?"
"Didn't you just say it could mess with the film we're shooting?"
Ruffling the feathers of fans at a time like this was like asking for a box office disaster.
So, of course, Emmert would swoop in to do damage control ASAP.
Sure enough, Emily scrolled through her feed and saw Emmert's retweet on Twitter...
With a caption, no less... 'New flick, futuristic vibes... Meet the Sullivan family's robotic darling, played by our own little drama queen.'
Kid, quit spreading rumors!
Sullivan's fans started ribbing him, teasing about how his mischief had nearly given them heart attacks.
Then they gushed about how adorable Emily was.
Speculating why Sullivan might be in the hospital brought on a flood of comments.
Seeing that Sullivan had no intention of replying, Emily took it upon herself and typed out a quick response: "Caught a bug, but all good now, back to work after a few days of R&R."
Her message was quickly swallowed up by a sea of fan comments.
All of them wishing Sullivan a swift recovery and eagerly awaiting his return.
Emily's eyes boggled at the sheer speed of the fan responses. "Are your fans like, possessed or something...? Thousands of replies in just a few minutes?"
"Ah, too many fans... it's a tough life."
"Spare some for me?"
"You got Twitter?"
"After my sis got me a smartphone, she set up an account for me. Got a few hundred thousand followers myself!"
"All those fans from that time you played Mr. Finnegan, standing in the street crying?"
"Yep... you gonna help me out?"
Sullivan tossed her his phone. "Go ahead, take all you want, if you've got the skills."
"Piece of cake!"
Emily whipped out her phone, opened Twitter, and retweeted Sullivan's post.
