Emily suddenly gasped, her eyes wide with disbelief. "Holy smokes... it went up by over a hundred thousand... How much time has passed, anyway? Are your followers nuts? Do they do nothing all day but refresh their Twitter feeds waiting for your updates?"
Sullivan cocked an eyebrow with a smirk. "It's just a pastime for the bored... And besides, a hundred thousand, is that a lot?"
Emily, looking heavenward as if seeking divine arithmetic, began to count on her fingers. "With billions of followers, a hundred thousand really isn't much."
"There you go."
"So... I'm guessing the numbers will just keep climbing."
"So, having poached so many of my fans, how do you plan to thank me?"
"How about a peck on the cheek? Would you treasure that?"
"Not really... Wait till you're all grown up, a knockout beauty - then maybe. But who wants a peck from a kid?"
"That's your loss... not my stinginess."
"Cheeky brat!"
"Hmph, my mentor is just as thick-skinned, I learned from the best!"
"You can read all this?"
"Mom started teaching me when I was three... I've always had a good memory, could recognize a ton of words. So, when I got better, my mom and mentor thought about sending me to preschool, but I wasn't having it. Who wants to play with a bunch of kids who can't even read?"
"Then you could go to elementary school."
"I don't like school either... don't like being around too many people."
"You're still not fully recovered."
