The golden barrier around their formation shattered instantly. The remaining experts looked around in horror.
"It's over…"
"These things aren't even using poison, how are they so fast?!"
"Shadow constructs shouldn't be this strong!!"
"He's cheating the class system! He has to be cheating the system!!"
"Isn't he a fucking vampire? How the hell is he even able to use poison and shadow element like this?"
Shadow beasts prowled the battlefield like wolves made from moonless night. Their glowing eyes flickered with eerie red light, and they pounced as a coordinated pack the moment they found a weakness.
The final C-rank defender screamed as he attempted to activate a teleport talisman. It fizzled. His HP bar hit zero before he even realized that something had attacked him from behind in such a frenzy that it was the same as instant death.
And just like that, the group of C-rank experts became nothing more than blood banks. Damon greedily absorbed all of the blood essence and licked his lips.
"War is the best thing that can happen to us." He grinned as his shadow minions collected all the loot scattered along the battlefield. "Blood Reign, are you able to hold onto anymore stats at all?" Damon probed the poor weapon spirit, who only replied after a few seconds. "Not all of them." Damon nodded in understanding. "It's fine. Do your best." He had a few more meridians he could open, but all of them needed a special atmosphere. He had already consumed about 10,000 more stat points after opening the star meridian cluster in his back.
Shockingly, each meridian improved its potential a lot more than a normal meridian was capable of doing. This only made Damon want to take even more time with his meridian smashing. Opening the right meridians might make all the difference between a mediocre body and a godly body. He did not want to rush it.
At the same time, his heart ached to see so many stat points go to waste. If only he could somehow use all these stat points. Especially in the current scenario, where he was essentially going to be fighting one battle after another nonstop, he really wanted to somehow use his cheat ability and not let it go to waste.
Damon silently looked around as more and more blood essence flew into his body. He closed his eyes and sensed his miasmic boundary further expand boundlessly without any hindrance in its path. Right at this moment, the lotus buds around him started blooming and exploding one after another, their petals drifting near and far. This only further accelerated the nightmare.
Each lotus detonated like a silent bomb. A ring of pale petals drifted outward, and every single one carried a different poison profile. Neurotoxin. Rot. Paralysis. Mana-burn. Viral decay. Essence-bleed. Petrification dust. Even hybrid poisons with contradictory effects, instant kill, lingering corrosion, and delayed burst, coexisted in impossible harmony.
The NPCs screamed. Players stared in disbelief. Poison surged. Shadows feasted. Damon smiled. It was time to clear another district. Damon unleashed hell without hesitation and created another poison hellscape as he sat back down to absorb all the blood essence. To practise his blood manipulation skills more and more, he took his sweet time and used more skills.
If he could improve his blood manipulation skills, then perhaps he could observe how exactly his bloodline extraction skill worked, or at least partially direct the result of the skill to a drop of blood. In that way, maybe he would be able to save some stats for future use or for someone else to consume.
"Blood Reign, does this even make sense? What do you think?"
The weapon spirit was speechless. "Only you can think of something like this, my liege." She remained silent for a while and then burst into giggles. "My liege, this is brilliant. Yes, it is possible. We can do this. You just have to let me feel you. All of you…"
