Damon raised the vial to eye level. The liquid inside wasn’t any single color. It swirled, violet, black, and sickly green. The stopper alone was sealed with ancient sigils meant to prevent accidental leakage. La Rocha hadn’t been exaggerating when he mentioned how deadly the poisons in his collections were.
Damon did not know much about sigils and even wondered if he should ask Ellora about the ones inscribed on the vial, but as soon as his consciousness touched the vial, a bunch of information flowed into his mind. It was clearly explained how to handle the vial itself and what sort of poison was inside it.
"That bastard did not tell me anything about this." Damon clicked his tongue. It was a good thing he did not simply open the damn thing and die on the spot. This was because the poison inside the vial wasn’t any ordinary poison. It was called a "Heavenly Sin."
Apparently, it was one of the famous poisons in the multiverse. The more Damon read about it, the more his heart shuddered. The reason why the poison was popular and extremely sought after was because this was one of the few things that could actually harm an Ascended being.
Heavenly Sin.
Damon let the information settle, his grip tightening slightly around the vial. "Something that can harm an A rank... Huuuu..." He exhaled. He immediately put the damn thing in his inventory, getting rid of it.
The other day, Damon was completely shaken up about a B rank expert hot on his trail, finally understanding the staggering gap at the top of the power pyramid. And now, he would have committed suicide using something that could harm even an A rank, and died without knowing what even happened.
Thankfully, he was not the type to rip open something without reading the fine print. Otherwise, he and his entire family would have gone to the reincarnation cycle together, if something like that even exists.
Damon exhaled slowly.
"No wonder that bastard was smiling when he handed this to me."
La Rocha might not know about his poison body constitution, but he damn well made sure that Damon would self-destroy no matter what. Damon was pretty sure that this warning and these sigils were only placed on the vial thanks to the meticulous system contract they both had signed. Otherwise, he would be dead already.
Putting a mental note to be more careful in the future with the guy, Damon slowly retrieved the next poison. Not that he planned to use any. He was not an idiot to be that confident about his poison body. The inheritance was overpowered, but he was pretty sure he needed to complete a couple more cycles to even sniff these types of deadly poisons.
Right now, at most, he could use the poison to surprise attack his enemy. He would have to use an ultimate skill that had absolute defense while doing so. Otherwise, he would also die on the spot, which he did not want to happen.
But then again, absolute defense skills had different grades. Something like Divine Interference, which blocked any attack for a period of 2 seconds, might or might not work against poison. Also, in those 2 seconds, he would have to get the hell out of there. Otherwise, once again, he would be dead.
