Stepbrother Mine A Son For Alpha Zoren (Ciara) novel Chapter 3

3: firm warning

Ciara

I was struggling to reach the cereal positioned on the highest shelf, probably positioned there by Zoren to make me suffer. Just as I was cursing my height, an arm suddenly invaded my sight, then I felt a chest slightly brush my head.

“I’ve got you.” A warm voice echoed behind me, then the cereal was being easily retrieved for me. As I turned around to look at my savior, I noticed it was one of Zoren’s friends who was here two evenings ago. He was smiling at me and somehow, I felt shocked because I assumed all Zoren’s friends were assholes like him.

“Thank you so much.” I breathed out but he waved me off, looking at ease as he looked around, like he’s been here a lot. Perhaps he was like a best friend to Zoren?

That asshole. I didn’t see him at all throughout yesterday and I was glad about that, but I hated that I still kept thinking about him. He wasn’t around when I woke up this morning, but seeing his friend here right now must means he already returned.

“You’re very welcome. I’m Alex, a friend of Zoren’s.”

I nodded. “I’m Ciara.”

He hummed. “It’s a really pretty name for a pretty girl. It sure suits you.”

I blushed after that.

He didn’t leave just yet, but instead continued to speak to me, the conversation flowing smoothly beyond my expectation, and as I mixed myself some cereal, I asked if he’d like to have some, which he agreed to, then I made him a bowl too. We ate while leaning against the counter and easily conversing like we’ve known each other for years.

“Have Zoren showed you around?” He asked and after I shook my head, he gasped dramatically, making me laugh. I’ve laughed so much in mere minutes than I’ve laughed since my three weeks of being here.

“We can’t have that! I’ll have to take that task upon myself. It’s a good thing I know this town like the back of my palm.”

“Oh, you don’t have to…” I began but he shook his head.

“It won’t be a hassle, I promise. You being pretty and funny already equals a fun ride for me.” He informed me earnestly as he stepped closer to me and I blushed, my heart fluttering a little.

After Jared betrayed me, I promised not to ever let anyone into my heart again. But in this new town, what if I end up finding someone else to fall in love with?

When he held an open hand out to me, I accepted it after a moment’s hesitation, watching as he kissed my knuckle and my wrist, making me pant as I stared up at him.

The air suddenly felt thicker as his eyes bored into mine. They weren’t grey and intense but they were brown and warm and my heartbeat pounded when he slowly leaned down. His lips almost met mine before he suddenly stiffened, and at the same time, I felt a pricking feeling behind my neck just as Alex glanced over my head, his lips twisting as he muttered. “Oh shit.”

He abruptly dropped my hand and stepped back after that, making me blink up at him in confusion and when I glanced behind me, towards the doorway, a sound caught in my throat at the sight of Zoren standing there, looking furious and his eyes pinned on Alex.

“I was just messing around, man.” Alex sighed out and dropped his bowl of half eaten cereal, then he began to walk towards the doorway, without Zoren even saying anything and I frowned in confusion.

“Alex?” I called out in confusion.

“I’m sorry, Ciara, but I have to run, okay?” He responded, eyes on me for a moment before he disappeared, leaving me with a scowling Zoren who stalked into the kitchen and stopped right in front of me, engulfing me with his heady cologne.

“What were you doing in here with my friend?” He demanded and I spluttered.

“I- we were just conversing, but what’s it to you?!” I managed in a strained voice.

“I told you we can’t be friends. My friends aren’t above that rule either, stay away from them.” He barked sharply, gaze darkening as he stepped even closer to me, making his body brush against mine..

“I- I can befriend anyone I want, Zoren. You don’t control me. Unlike you, your friend was very nice to me, and if he wants to befriend me, I’ll totally—” I was cut off by his hand wrapping around my throat. It wasn’t a tight grip, but the gesture was controlling, commanding and it had me gasping while my knees weakened.

“Getting mouthy with me, huh?” He demanded, eyes angry as he stared down at me.

When I tried to respond with something snarky, he shoved a finger into my mouth. It was so shocking that I stiffened, then when I made to bite it, I ended up sucking on it instead to my utmost mortification.

He didn’t pull the finger out, he pushed it in deeper, fucking it into my mouth a few times until I was feverish all over, my stomach clenched tightly with heat while I trembled again. My head swam, my eyes fluttering as he pressed down on my tongue and growled lowly.

When he pulled his finger out, I was breathing hard and feeling too ashamed to meet his gaze, while wondering why these embarrassing things kept happening to him. His rough hand made me face him in the next moment,

“You’ll stay away from my friends, got it?” He warned, voice thicker now.

I swallowed, my head still swimming.

As my mind reeled in confusion from that question, I almost fainted at the sight of Zoren rising up and making his way through the parting crowd… towards me.

Before I could contemplate running, he was right in front of me, grabbing my arm and jerking me close to him so I tumbled against his hard chest.

“The fuck are you doing here?” He barked and I squealed, unable to respond.

After he asked my dancing partner to fuck off, he turned around and tugged me through the crowd, then through some hallways, while I stumbled after him. When he stepped into a bathroom and jerked me in, I gasped, watching through widened eyes as he locked the door and pinned me against it, eyes hard and nose flaring.

“Start speaking.” He ordered and I jumped, all my bravado flying out the window.

“I- ah, Alex invited—” I stuttered while Zoren growled.

“That bastard Alex really invited you into a den of wolves, huh?” He gritted out and confusion settled within me, but before I could ask what he meant, he was leaning so close to me that our nose almost touched.

“But didn’t I ask you to stay away from my friends?” He demanded but I was too tongue tied to respond.

I shivered as his gaze raked over me in the next moment, then he chuckled lowly, his eyes darkening. “Was this what you wore for Alex? This thin, short dress that barely covered your ass. You wore it so he could rip it off you after the party, huh?”

I gulped, shaking my head fast. “N- no! It wasn’t…” I cried out but he only clicked his tongue and moved away from me. Before I could exhale, he was pulling me deeper into the bathroom, then he pressed me chest down against the cold counter, my back arched and my eyes boring into the mirror in front of me. The sight of Zoren looming behind me from our reflection had my breath hitching.

“You were dancing out there like a fucking slut, letting those bastards touch you, letting them see and feel you up in this dress. You must love pushing me, don’t you?” This time, his fingers tangled in my hair, pulling hard and I gasped and trembled as heat surged through me in waves. I could feel myself growing wet and that made me feel mortified.

“N- no…” I whimpered, but he clicked his tongue, then his body pressed right against my ass the next moment. I gasped breathlessly, my eyes widening from shock at the feeling of his hard-on resting right against my ass, feeling hot and heavy and instantly making my pussy clench tightly.

“You kept pushing me, like a fucking brat. And now I’m gonna show you what it feels like when I snap.”
