I opened my mouth to speak, but he leaned down and kissed me again until I was extremely breathless when he pulled away. My head was empty and filled with nothing but him. There’s a lot of questions I want to ask because what he just said made no sense to me, but right now, it seems like all those questions have momentarily dissipated into thin air.

“Oh my gosh.” I whispered before letting out a shaky moan when he slid his mouth down my throat and lapped at the raw bite on my throat. As pleasure instantly shot though me, i gasped sharply while my entire body shook hard underneath him, my very naked body. I should feel embarrassed and I am, but I also didn’t want him to stop. Even though not a lot made sense to me right now, my body craved his touch so much and now, a scorching ache was deep in my stomach.

He pulled away and faced me again as he spoke, his eyes dark as night. “Do you understand?”

I swallowed emptily while trying to quickly reboot my brain. “What?” I whispered, and after he regarded me for a few seconds, he sighed and shook his head.

“Actually, you know what? Now isn’t the right time for this conversation. We’ll talk about this later.” He spoke and I opened my mouth to object, but he held a hand over my mouth.

“That’s final. Ckeerly you can’t think when you’re horny and desperate to be fucked.” He drawled and I stiffened just as color rushed into my face. I spluttered while staring up at him, feeling the urge to flee but I was presently trapped underneath his body.

“I’m not.” I cried out in defense and he snorted, his brows arched.

“I can literally smell how wet you are right now.” He pointed out and my face colored even more because he wasn’t wrong. That must be his damned wolf abilities. My mind instantly returned to the past, when I still thought he was human, and hadn’t taken him seriously when he told me he could smell my arousal. That made me grow more mortified.

“Don’t be ashamed, I’m not any better.” His voice pulled me out of my thoughts just as he pressed his hips down on my stomach and I gasped as his hardness met my skin.

I thought he hated me? If he hates me, why is he doing all this? Why did he bite me last night to save me? Cause it seems that was what happened so far. “Zoren? I’m confused.” I finally blurted out, unable to take the confusion anymore. He only hummed before pulling up to peer into my face.

“About what?” He asked and I huffed. Was he serious right now?

“About everything. How am I naked and in bed with you this morning? You said I belonged to you now, what does that mean? And… Why are you being normal to me?”

I shrugged. “You know… not being mean to me. That’s kind of what I’ve now associated with you for now.” I pointed out, not bothering to add that even in the past, his normal when he was being an asshole to me. It made me wonder what I actually saw in him that made me fall for him.

“I was never mean to you.” He pointed out but when I kept staring at him, he let out a long sigh. “Okay, fine. I was, but i had a very reasonable reason to. I was mad at you, remember?”

I nodded stiffly. “Okay.”

“As for why you’re naked, you begged me to fuck you last night, remember? Thankfully I managed not to do that but it was hard as hell cause you smelt so good, like a snack.” He responded and I flushed, feeling embarrassed that he just said that flinching.

“Ooh.” I whispered weakly, remembering moments from last night when I almost cried while begging him to fuck me.

“As for you belonging to me, that needs no explanation. Were now bonded after I bit you, so now you’re mine,”

I opened my mouth to speak because I had a lot of questions but a knock echoed on the door, making me instantly stiff.

“Who is it?” Zoren called out calmly, not flinching at all, like it was very normal to be caught straddling me while having someone he’s engaged to.

“Your majesty, you’re needed for something important.” That sounded like Ryan, the second beta.

“I’ll be out in a bit. You may leave.” Zoren called out before he focused on me again.

I exhaled a little before speaking. “Since you saved me, I guess I should thank you.”

He huffed. “You don’t have to, and you can remain in bed even after I leave. You need to get a lot more rest. You scared me last night after you fainted, especially Kai.”

At the mention of Kai, I tensed up, my heart jumping into my throat. As if he could read my mind, he added. “And Kai is probably still asleep, I kept him in Sarah’s care.”

I heaved in relief just as he rolled off me and got to his feet. I clutched the sheets tightly around my naked body while blinking up at him, watching as he reached down to shamelessly adjust his hard on his pants until he caught me, then I quickly looked away, but his lips twitched

“Whatever it was that happened last night must have flipped a switch in you.”

I blushed even more. “I- I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Never mind. I’ll be leaving now so go back to sleep. I’ll bring Kai along when coming back.”

He informed me and as I watched him head to the door, I couldn’t help but call out.

“Thank you, Zoren.”

He stiffened by the door but wordlessly nodded before leaving.
