The limousine we were all in was so spacious, and Kai had been on the moon since we stepped in here. He was more wowed to discovered that not only does Zoren own this car, that he also has a lot of other cool cars.

My eyes met Zoren’s at that moment and my face flushed before I quickly looked away. Thankfully, Finn Jet, who was sitting on the other side of Kai, managed to distract Kai and I heaved in relief.

I remained silent the rest of the ride, contented with just listen to everyone speak, while my own mind wandered. I desperately want to talk to Zoren about the theft issue and would prefer to do that before I get to meet Gregg again, but unfortunately we wernt alone right now.

Kai held my hand when we alighted, looking around curiously. He only ever willingly holds my hand of his own will when he’s in a new, unfamiliar vicinity.

“Let’s go.” Zoren called out, and I watched as Kai reached for Zoren hand without letting go of mine. My heart caught in my throat when my eyes met with his above my son’s head, and that’s the way we walked into a very large building which Zoren revealed was his palace. Kai was blown away and so was I.

“Does that mean you’re a king, Zoren?” Kai asked, sounding shocked and awed. Zoren chuckled softly as he nodded down at

“Wow! I’ll like to be a prince. Can I be your prince, Zoren?” Kai asked and my breath caught in my throat.

Poor Kai dosent know he’s literally already a prince.

“Of course you can!” Zoren responded and Kai bounced hard with happiness the rest of the way. With the way we were walking right now, it was the perfect picture of a happy family and my heart flipped in my chest cause so many times, I’ve imagined a time where I’ll have something like this. I never could have predicted that the person in those imaginations would end up being Zoren.

A lot of maids and guards did double takes as we walked past all of them and I felt a little shy. It shocked and surprised me that Zoren was already doing this cause I assumed he’d take longer to reveal Kai to his pack, but clearly I was wrong. I still couldn’t believe I once thought he’d want nothing to do with Kai because of me.

“Your majesty, welcome back.” A man who was suddenly in front of us spoke. He was tall and handsome, with lean muscles and red hair.

“Ryan.” Zoren murmured before glancing at me. “This is my third beta. He took care of things back here while I was away.”

“Hello, luna–to–be?” Ryan murmured and I shot Zoren a sharp look, but he wasn’t staring at me.

“Hello, little prince. Welcome home.” Ryan said to Kai who beamed at me.

“Mommy, he thinks I’m a prince!” He gushed before he looked back at Ryan to frown. “I’m not little though.”

“Hello, Ryan. Thanks for having us.” I geeeted obligatory and Ryan fell into steps beside us. We finally stopped in front of an oak door and Zoren pushed the door

open.

My breath caught in my throat at the sight of Gregg. He was seated in a chair, wearing regal clothes, but they hung in his body and his eyes were so sunken in, it was a far cry from the man i remembered my mother getting married to years ago.

“Father, I have returned, and I brought guests.” Zoren breathed out as he strode in deeper, pulling Kai and I along. I wanted to instantly flee when Gregg’s sharp, hard eyes landed on me. Their was so much hatred in his eyes, that it made me sick, and just as he was about to say something, his eyes landed on Kai.

One look was enough to tell him whose child that was. He looked so lost and confused as he looked between Kai, myself and Zoren a bunch of times, and Zoren laughed softly as he let go of Kai to walk closer to his father

“What is this, Zoren?” Gregg thundered hard for someone frail looking.

“I know, I know. It’s a long story and I’ll explain later. The kid doesn’t know yet, so don’t mention it,” Zoren signed in

response.

Kai kept on holding me until Zoren asked him to come forward. But Kai refused to let go of me and I ended up having to step very close to Gregg as well.

I felt on edge, hoping Greg wouldn’t reject Kai to his face. I don’t care if my mom betrayed him in the past, I won’t hesitate to fight him if he makes Kai cry with his words.

However, to my shock, Gregg… bursted into happy tears as he took Kai’s hand and pulled him into his arms. Kai finally let go of me and remained in Gregg’s arms while Gregg fussed over him and checked him out, examining him like he was a doll. I felt surprised as I watched all this unfold, feeling surprised cause normally, Kai won’t let a stranger touch him like this, especially without his permission.

“He’s an s–class alpha too? At such a young age? Unbelievable!” Gregg explained happily as he hugged kai again.

“What’s an s–class alpha?” Kai asked and Zoren choked before Gregg shot him a sharp look.

“Don’t tell me he dosent know what he is yet?” He shot at his son who sighed.

“It’s a long story, dad.”

Gregg returned to embracing Kai while Zoren looked happy as he watched his father embrace his son, his face glowing from how he was genuinely smiling and I found it hard to look away.

“You still have a lot of explaining to do.” Gregg said to his son after he finally let Kai go, and Kai returned back to holding my hand.

“I promise to explain it all to you, dad.” Zoren sighed out, and i instantly averted my gaze when Greg shot me a withering

As we walked out of the room, Zoren tugged on my hand until I crouched beside him.
