“Come. I’ll show you to your room.” He murmured, pulling me out of my thoughts. At once, my heartbeat accelerated cause I was instantly reminded of Zara, whoever she was. I looked around to confirm that I was still in where I am and not that bright room filled with mirrors.

Had that really happened or did I imagine it up?

“My room? Thank you so much,” I breathed out and Zoren hummed as he finally stepped away and dropped his hand, then he added.

“The room is gonna be for the two of us though.” He revealed and I gasped as I gaped at him, unable to believe my ears.

“What?” I whispered but he rolled his eyes, not seeming fazed at all.

“We’ll be sharing a room.”

I spluttered, my heartbeat all over the place. “But why?” I asked and he shrugged.

“Cause as mates, we’re supposed to be together.” He breathed out lazily and I let out a sound of disbelief as I kept staring at

him.

“B- but… I haven’t agreed to that yet…” I breathed out on a stuttered breath, stumbling over my words. Zoren just regarded me with a arched brow.

“Agreed to what?” He asked lazily and I sputtered again.

“To this mate thing, to you claiming me. You mentioned it again to your father. I didn’t agree to it.” After I said those words, I was breathing hard, my chest heaving. The silence stretched out between us and he suddenly stroked closer, right into my personal space, making me gasp as I inched backward, my back meeting the tree almost immediately.

“Since when did I ask for your permission to claim you?” He asked in a low voice as he stared down at me and I stumbled over my words, unable to get a single word out.

“It’s the truth. I already told you that I claimed you when I bit you: we’re now bonded, you just can’t feel it within you cause you’re human. But I alresxy clzinsd you and there’s no going back from it. Do you understand?” As he spoke, he placed a hand on the spot beside me head while staring down at me. I let out a long shaky exhale as I blinked up at him, my chest exploding with annoyance.

“You can’t just come to that conclusion yourself.” I breathed out but he only rolled his eyes, then he reached down and grasped my chin, tugging me face up.

“I already did,” he breathed out, and as I tried to protect again, he leaned the rest of the way down and took my lips in a kiss. I stiffened before instantly melting against his chest, my mouth falling open as I moaned, the sound shaky as it filtered into his mouth. He groaned into my mouth as his lips moved over mine, firm, claiming, controlling, and consuming. I whimpered into the kiss when he bit on my bottom lip and pulled before he licked right into my mouth, his tongue moving over mine before stroking over the roof of my mouth.

“Fuck.” I cried out after he pulled away, his mouth dragging over my jaw and lower. I was breathing hard, my body trembling against him. I didn’t realize when his hand settled over my waist until his lips dragged over mark he left on the curve of my neck that touch instantly that my legs buckled while a breathless whine left my mouth. I was breathing hard when Zoren pulled away from my throat to move back up, then he slotted his mouth over mine in a deep, wanton kiss that had me completely melting agsinst Jin again while my hands gripped his shirt tightly for purchase.

The loud shrill sound of a phone ringing blared through the air, making me stiffen out as Zoren pulled away, looking irritated.

“Who the fuck is that?” He demanded and I panted hard as I responded while unconsciously chasing after his mouth. “It’s probably no one.” I blurted out before realizing I just acted like a damn slur and not like someone who dosent vent to be claimed by him. As my cheeks flushed red, I quickly averted my gaze and pulled my phone out, stilll breathing hard.

My eyes zeroed in on the caller id and I gulped, my heartbeat accelerating.

“It’s no one.” I muttered as I tried to end the call but Zoren stopped me by holding my hand, his gaze narrowed.

“Who’s that?” He demanded and I huffed.

“It’s no one.”

He plucked the phone from my grip and stared at the caller id, then his face darkened in displeasure.

“Nico love?” He echoed and my face instantly flamed just as I tried to grab the phone out of his grip but he only moved it out of reach, his face settling in a scowl as he regarded me.

“I thought I asked you to end things with him?” He demanded and I let out a sigh, shifting my weight around,

“I- you can’t just expect me to do that because you asked me to.” I pointed out and he growled, the sound low and dangerous.

“That’s exactly what I expect you to do.” He pointed out sharply as he rolled his eyes and I let out a huff, wishing he’d put some distance between us right now so I’d be able to think with a clearer head. Having him this close to me was making it impossible for me to properly think.

“I can’t do that, Zoren.” I breathed out before folding my hands and letting out a long breath.

“Why?” He demanded, sounding like I was being irrational.

“Well, cause… you can leave anytime.” I pointed out, my chest heaving and he slowly frowned while regarding me in

confusion.

“What?”

I petite a frustrated huff. “You don’t care about me. Outside of this mate bond, you’d not look at me twice. You don’t care about me so you can leave anytime.” I began, breaking it down as best as I could while also struggling to hold his gaze. “My relationship with Nico is over two years, you can’t expect me to just throw that away because of you especially when you aren’t even willing picking me but is being forced to because of that bond.” I let out a long exhale before continuing.

He was silent before sudddnly pressing closer to me, his body flushed with mine, making me let out a low gasp as my body trembled against his. His eyes were intense as they dozed over every Inch of my face, right before he suddenly grabbed my arm and spinned me around so my front was against the tree and his front was against my back. His hand wrapped around my waist while the other wrapped around my throat, making me tremble against him just as his lips met the curve of my left ear before he spoke.

“That’s what you think?” He asked in a low voice, which filtered right into my ear and all the way to my clenched stomach just as he added. “That’s not gonna happen,”

My heart stupidly fluttered before I quickly reminded myself to not be delusional right now.

“You’re gonna end things with him tonight.” He stated firmly, like that was already a closed topic, and as I opened my mouth to argue, he suddenly hoisted me up into his arms, making me let out a startled squeal as I clutched his large shoulders tightly.

He rolled his eyes as he stepped into the large building once again, past so many doors that my head began to spin at some point. The smell of his cologne filled my nose, making me feel almost drunk. I feel tempted to push closer to his throat where it felt like his cologne was really gathered in, but I forced myself against doing that out of embarrassment.

“Where are we going?” I asked, my insides
