Surrender To Us, Our Luna (One Luna, Four Alphas) novel Chapter 551

Chapter 551: 551-What’s Next

Clementine:

Yorick avoided eye contact like a guilty cult leader.

He explained everything to us, telling us what the truth was and what we should have done to detach the North for some time.

"Then why did you lie to them?" Troy asked again.

We were all sitting in a circle on the living room floor. We had just finished breakfast.

"Because I don’t want you all to stay here," Yorick replied. "This is our problem. It’s not your problem. It was created by my family."

He rubbed his face with both hands.

"I know everyone’s families took part," he continued. "But my family was the main one that created the monsters. If they hadn’t made them, none of this would have started."

He answered aggressively while still dragging his hands down his face.

Mariana quickly began rubbing his back, showing her support.

Watching them like that made me feel relieved. At least now they were not alone.

Each of them had a partner. A mate who could guide them in the right direction if they ever made a mistake.

"But that’s wrong. How were you going to decide that for us?" Haiden argued, looking at Troy for support. Troy nodded at him.

"Yeah, Yorick. It’s our choice what we want. You can’t decide that for us," Troy added quietly.

My eyes shifted toward Ian. He was sitting comfortably, just like always. The moment he noticed me looking at him, he straightened his spine.

"Actually, everything you’re saying makes sense," Ian began. "But I think I agree with Yorick."

As soon as he said that, everyone’s attention turned to him.

"Look, staying here means someone has to make sure all the monsters drink those potions," he continued. "But it’s just as important that some of us stay on the mainland to deal with the issues there."

He paused, studying everyone’s faces before continuing.

"At least I’ll vote to go back to the mainland. I have a brother who needs me. I have a father who needs my support."

He glanced at me.

"As long as Clementine agrees. If she wants to stay here, then I’ll stay too."

His words brought a smile to my face.

I faced everyone and took a deep breath.

"Honestly, I don’t have a strong reason to go back to the mainland," I admitted. "Most of my family is basically here."

I did not hesitate when making that decision.

"I might feel a little embarrassed saying this, but I don’t like the mainland much. At least here, your enemies are right in front of you."

I glanced at Ian.

"But I’ll have a bigger family there now. I want to go for Ian. I think that would be right."

As soon as I said that, Ian gave me a reassuring nod.

We were going for his brother and father. At least, that’s what I told myself.

Otherwise I wanted to stay.

"But my mother is there," Troy explained. "And more than that, someone needs to keep my father, my stepmother, and Messi in check."

He made it clear that he also intended to go back.

The more we spoke, the more a smile spread across Yorick’s face.

"So it’s decided," Yorick concluded. "You’ll go back. I don’t want you staying here. It would be pointless for you. And the bigger the group, the harder things will become."

That was when I noticed Fauna turning to look at Haiden.

I understood immediately. Fauna wanted to go back, probably because her mother was there.
