Surrender To Us, Our Luna (One Luna, Four Alphas) novel Chapter 557

Chapter 557: 557-Our Wedding Was Special

Clementine:

We had just defeated a monster and barely made it out alive.

We were sitting on the road, catching our breath, when our attention shifted back to the Hollow man.

"This is getting a little too tiring," I told Ian as I sat on top of him.

He was spread across the road like a sheet, and I sat on his stomach with my legs stretched out.

My hands rested on his chest, and my head was turned toward the hollow man.

On the other side, Leysa and Troy were getting quite intimate.

I could not tell if it was just me feeling this way or if there was something about Misty Corners that made mates automatically think about getting intimate afterward.

"It seemed like he had developed a crush on you too," Ian commented as he mentioned the Hallow man, making me smile at him.

"Really? And why would that be?" I asked teasingly, running my finger up and down his neck to his chest.

I watched the corner of his lip turn upward, forming a smirk.

"Because you are so gorgeous," he commented, giving my back a gentle squeeze.

"Okay, I can blame him. You are too perfect."

Ian started flirting the moment he got the chance, and I rolled my eyes at him.

"What if he stole me from you?"

As soon as I said that, even though it was meant playfully, I watched the smirk leave Ian’s face.

It was clear he did not even want to imagine it as a joke.

"Well then, I’ll fucking kill him," he grunted, more serious than ever. "Clementine, I will not allow anyone to come close to you. I don’t care how big of a monster it is."

He continued to clench his jaw.

"I was just kidding, you idiot," I said, instantly changing the subject, slapping his chest to bring him back to his normal self instead of being so aggressive.

"Alright, enough talking. We need to move. We are getting late," I reminded them.

We did not have much time.

As soon as five hours were over, the crusaders on the other side were going to drop the stone of the second tower.

"Yes, but only two hours have passed. We still have plenty of time," Leysa replied, getting up from the road and dusting off her clothes.

"Still, you never know," I said.

"What do you mean? Are there more dangerous monsters after this?" Troy asked us.

At that moment, I realized I should have told them what we might expect next.

"Tell me, are the next monsters even more dangerous?" Leysa asked.

The fear in her eyes was impossible to miss. She looked at my face with pure innocence.

"Yes. Much more," I replied, sharing a look with Ian.

Ian shook his head slightly, then bent down as if to kneel.

But instead of stepping aside, he picked me up.

"Ian, put me down," I complained.

Instead, he flipped me over his shoulder so I was hanging there, and then he lightly smacked me in playful retaliation.

I knew it might look strange to Troy and Leysa, but it wasn’t strange for us.

Even in intimate moments, we were unpredictable.

With Ian, you never really knew what mood he would switch into.

"Lying again?" he said. "Lying is bad."

Ian swatted me again while I giggled.

Honestly, I was already aroused, but this wasn’t the time.

"Fine. Sorry," I said.

He slowly lowered me down, far too smoothly, keeping me close enough that my body brushed firmly against his.

When my feet touched the ground, his arm wrapped tightly around my back.

I stared at him in surprise, then held my ears with both hands in mock apology.

I was just trying to mess with Troy and Leysa but Ian caught me in a lie.

He smiled. Slowly, that smile turned sharper as he bit his lower lip.

With effort, he looked away and up at the sky before turning his head toward the Hollow man again, making sure it wasn’t getting closer.

"So the next place is called the Theatre," Ian said.

We both stepped slightly apart and pointed toward it.

But the cheerfulness in my voice began fading the moment I remembered what that theatre held.

"Do they kill people and put on shows with them? Or maybe it’s a show with dead bodies?" Leysa guessed, trying to imagine what kind of monsters we would face there. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

"Not exactly," Ian replied. "There used to be deadly clowns there. More like–Weeping Angels."
