It was not that Riley disliked every applicant-she simply dared not accept them.

These players jumping from other guilds would abandon their current home for better benefits today. Tomorrow, they could easily sell Hope Guild’s resources and secrets to the highest bidder without a second thought.

As for the people pretending to be helpless just to survive? They were even riskier. In the apocalypse, foolish kindness was the easiest way to get your entire team killed.

Rule Three: Binding Responsibility System. If a new member betrayed the guild, stole teammate supplies, or leaked intelligence during their probation period or the first week after becoming official, they would be immediately banned and punished.
