Chapter 380 No Way I’m Giving Up
“Who the hell is on the same boat as you?”
Riley’s gaze turned icy, her tone unnervingly calm.

“You have two choices right now. Pick up your weapons and follow orders to fight your way out of this, or I’ll send you straight to join BloodWolf right now.”
“We’ll follow your lead.”
Responses rippled out from the crowd. Faced with overwhelming strength and certain death, the once arrogant raiders caved without hesitation.

“Work alongside the Icefield Drifters. Move all defensive traps, Spike Barricades, and spare wall reinforcements to the outer defensive line.” Riley nodded toward NorthWind, handing command over to SouthWind.
NorthWind gave a heavy nod and stepped forward to address everyone.
“I’m setting aside old grudges for now. I’ve marked three fallback buffer zones inside the camp. The second the outer wall falls, I’ll trigger all trapped defenses. We’ll fortify the buildings behind this line as new cover. Once the first defense breaches, everyone falls back behind these structures. For now, help cut down any stray monsters climbing over the walls, then hurry to set traps along the front line.”
Crushed under desperate pressure, every survivor moved with frantic efficiency.
They rushed to carry out orders while banding together to slice down lone crawling monsters that scaled the forty-foot outer enclosure.
Time ticked by, a heavy sense of dread weighing on every soul like a boulder.
Under SouthWind’s direction, survivors from Icefield Drifters Alliance and WarWolf Guild stacked rubble and stone bricks in the inner perimeter. They repurposed residential buildings into makeshift strongholds, boarding up windows and leaving only narrow firing slits.
NorthWind kept erecting new fortifications nonstop.
WarWolf members wolfed down rations handed out by Tartking while following Nobody’s directions to layhaps across every corner of the camp.
Woody and Damian led a team, racing against time to bury Felix’s oil barrel bombs in the shadows along the outer wall.
Boom… Boom…
The ground began to thud in a steady rhythm, the tremors growing stronger by the second.
It was the footsteps of the colossal monsters.
They were diawing near.
Bang!
Thunderous crashes shook the entire camp violently, sending half-built makeshift walls crumbling to the ground

The first giant monster lumbered into view. Its massive forty-foot frame cast a shadow that swallowed the entire western wall.
Staring at the hideous, colossal abyssal monster, Riley let out a long breath. It was the first time she had ever encountered a creature like this.
“It’ll be alright.” PineappleBeer patted Riley’s shoulder gently. “We’re all in this together. The worst case is something we can live with… just a little disappointing, that’s all.”
TartKing’s expression had been grim, but she nodded in quiet agreement after hearing PineappleBeer’s words.
With the people she cared about right beside her, no outcome felt entirely unendurable.
Riley glanced at TartKing and Pineapple Beer, steadying her resolve, though she refused to surrender to despair.
“The people I care about are here with me, so no way I’m giving up!”
She turned toward the crowd behind her and spoke firmly.
“Hold your ground. Anyone with crossbows, lock onto the giant monsters first. WarWolf, draw your weapons and help us clear the crawling monsters. If the outer wall cannot hold, everyone pulls back 30 feet away from the enclosure.”
Riley issued commands in steady, unrushed order. Their only hope lay in the crossbows’ staggering power; the monsters made easy targets, and concentrated arrow fire might just slow them down.
Some WarWolf members still hesitated, but Icefield Drifters and Hope Guild were already moving into position. With others taking the lead, they had no choice but to place their trust in Riley.
Emboldened by the others’ resolve, WarWolf survivors steeled themselves, drawing their weapons and stepping into formation as Riley had ordered.
Riley glanced over at Neeko, who was standing close beside her, brushed a hand over her hair, then pulled a seal orb from her Inventory. She gathered the treant, still repairing the camp gates and walls, into the orb.
