Riley’s gaze swept over her two friends. Putting all these pieces together, I’ve come up with an absolutely insane theory.

This snowfield might not be the game we thought it was. Us Earth players, the socalled instance dungeons, the native continent Joseph and the others are fromit’s highly likely that none of this is just game code. Ratherthey’re multiple, previously unrelated, completely real parallel worlds!

And there’s some incredibly powerful, unknown force behind all of this, throwing so many different lives and dimensions into this place for some twisted screening process.

So that’s why rifts might tear open between countless parallel worlds, leading to a situation like today where a dungeon monster horde spills out onto the snowfield?PineappleBeer picked up the train of thought.

Riley nodded.

That’s definitely possible, but there’s a lot that still doesn’t add up,PineappleBeer replied.

At the very least, she undeniably had memories of two lifetimes. If this was all just adjacent parallel worlds, how did that explain her memories?

Riley didn’t push back against Pineapple Beer’s doubts. True, it’s just a theory anyway.

She paused, shifting her gaze between the two of them.

But, looking on the bright sideif those monsters today really did come from the dungeon, it proves that spatial overlaps are happening way more frequently. Which also meansthe next largescale instance the system drops is highly likely to be the dungeon you’ve been waiting for.

PineappleBeer nodded, a sliver of anticipation flashing in her eyes.

The dungeonshe murmured the name. That was the terminus of her pastlife memories, the epicenter of all her nightmares.

She had to go back there to find the truth behind the hazy fragments in her head.

We gotta keep getting stronger,” PineappleBeer suddenly looked up, her eyes shining with alarming intensity. If we really enter the dungeon, and if my pastlife memories ended there, it means the rules in the deep layers won’t be like before. Getting killed won’t just boot you back to the snowfield. There’s definitely gonna be a permanentdeath mechanic similar to the Long Night in the Magical Beast Forest.

That’s exactly my point,Riley smiled slightly, standing up. It’s fine. We’re totally stacked on supplies right now. For the time being, we just need to polish our gear and gather any items that might be useful to prep for the instance. Even if we can’t make it to the 20th floor this time, we can always try again later. Safety first.

Hell yeah! And once we’re in the instance, my desserts are gonna absolutely wreck house!Tartking chimed in excitedly.

The group chatted casually for a bit longer, outlining a rough schedule for the days ahead.

Half an hour later, Riley rubbed her wildly throbbing temples, exhausted, her tone finally betraying a sliver of normal, human lethargy.

Everyone waved their goodbyes, agreeing it was time to finally crash.

Right now, I’m gonna go take a hot shower and get some real sleep

Riley let out a massive yawn and waved her friendsoff.

PineappleBeer and Tartking just smiled, walking out the door and heading for the portal.

Riley onginally planned for them to sleep over, but they both insisted they had left their own camps in a hurry and needed to check on things. Plus, TartKing hadn’t checked on her sheep, Fluffy, in days.

Riley hit the hot shower first.

Shutting the master bedroom door, Riley threw herself heavily onto the mattress.

The events of the past few days kept flashing through her mind, leaving her with an indescribable feeling.

She considered herself pretty emotionally blunt and detached. If even she felt this bizarre sense of loss, she couldn’t even imagine how the others were coping.

Outside the window, the freezing winter blizzard continued to howl, desperately trying to rip apart this land that had just survived a cataclysm. But under the protection of the camp’s central bonfire, wrapped in the warm glow of the fireplace, everything descended into total peace.

She slept incredibly deeply, completely dreamless.

When Riley opened her eyes again, she wasn’t greeted by the expected darkness. Peeking through the gap in the curtains, she could see it was still daylight outside, though the sky had dimmed considerably.

She opened the system interface and was shocked to see she had slept for less than five hours.
