Riley listened quietly. Seeing the unyielding grit in Hanna and LoneWolf’s eyes a fire that refused to die even when their backs were against the wall a sense of deep pride swelled in her chest.
This was what it meant to be Hope Guild.
No whining, no sitting around waiting to die. Always hunting for an out, and trusting your squad with your life.
Riley’s frown smoothed out.
A 20% stat boost across the board plus CC immunity–that was exactly the kind of ace in the hole that could flip a losing battle.
“Let’s not waste any more time then. We’ll grab the supplies we need and get everyone grouped up. Staying scattered out there is a death sentence,” Riley said, standing up.
Under the elven woman’s polite retail smile, Riley led the newly revitalized five–man squad away from the cafe and back to the potion vendor. D
The merchant was a mystery man completely swallowed by a black robe, his face hidden deep within his hood.
“30 Frost Tokens a bottle. Final offer. No credit,” the cloaked figure stated flatly, seeing Hanna’s crew return.
“I’ll take two bottles for 25 each,” Riley said, instantly pulling 50 Frost Tokens from her inventory.
At the same time, she made a show of packing the tokens away and turning her shoulder.
“If 25 doesn’t work, don’t worry about it. I’m out.”
The hooded head tilted up slightly. Seeing Riley genuinely about to walk, he hesitated for a split second before snatching the tokens and handing over two glass vials bubbling with a volatile red liquid.
Riley shoved one into her own pack and tossed the other to Hanna.
“I’ll hold this one for emergencies; your squad holds that one.”
“Understood!” Hanna carefully stowed the potion away, immediately offering the pooled tokens she and her crew had scrounged up to Riley.
“We’ve got tokens! We just thought it was a rip–off, you don’t need to pay for us.”
Riley paused for a second but didn’t argue, quietly accepting the tokens while scanning the rest of the stall’s inventory.
XP Potions, Haste Potions, X–Ray Potions…
The other items just weren’t cost–effective, and she didn’t need them right now.
After securing the potions, Riley checked the wooden hourglass. She had four hours left.
She’d shelled out 50 tokens just to walk through the door; not shopping until she dropped would be a massive waste.
The market wasn’t huge, but as a rare sanctuary in the dungeon, the quality of the goods absolutely justified the entry fee.

Riley originally wanted to find a Wandering Merchant NPC the kind that recycled high–tier foot.

Back in the Magic Beast borest, she traded useless materials to a merchant for Frost Tokens. But after doing a full lap of the market, she didn’t spot a single one
Maybe the Wandering Merchants weren’t bound by the market rules and only spawned randomly in the wild, or maybe this market was just too small to attract one
Whatever the case, it didn’t ruin her shopping spree.
Riley checked her hourglass again, the golden sand was slowly dripping down.
She looked at Hanna, LoneWolf, and the rest. “We’ve got thirty minutes to shop. Meet back at that cafe stall we just sat at. Once we’re grouped, we head out immediately to hunt for the rest of the guild.”
The crew nodded.
“Listen to me,” Riley stressed. “Gear blueprints, building blueprints, rare materials–those might be priceless back on the snowfield, but they are utterly useless down here. Prioritize your tokens on consumables and items that provide immediate combat power or save your life.”
