“Equip the wristguard right away. Save the upgrade cards for later we’ll distribute them uniformly.” Riley flicked the green blood clean off her axe blades in one sharp motion.
High risk truly came with high reward. Drop rates his generous were utterly unthinkable out in the snowfields.
Over the next several hours, the three squads launched a relentless monster grind around their temporary base.
The constant thunder of combat echoed through the winding tunnels.
Everyone sustained fresh wounds, but potion support and the priest’s sustained healing kept every member fully combat–capable.
As they fought, another classic dungeon mechanic showed up: random treasure prates.
After pushing deeper through the tunnels, the team discovered a hidden loot chamber.
“Whoa! A purple blueprint!” Fly could barely contain his excitement. “It’s the recipe for a purple–tier Fury Greatsword!”
“Nice find. Store it safely.” Riley nodded calmly.
Encouraged by the lucky drop, Stool stepped forward and popped open the next crate without hesitation.
Pfft!
A thick cloud of toxic green gas burst straight out of the container, billowing full into the mage’s face.
“Cough! Help! Poison!” Stool’s skin turned an instant sickly green, His health bar plummeted at a visible rate.
He would have died on the spot if not for the Venom–Resistant Wristguard.
Meanwhile, as Chips reached for the third chest, the wooden crate suddenly split open, revealing a massive, tooth–lined maw. It snapped viciously down onto his forearm guard.
“Ah! A mimic! It’s biting me!” Chips panicked. He stumbled and darted wildly around the small altar chamber, dragging the limbed chest monster behind him and turning the whole area into utter chaos.
Riley let out a helpless sigh. She pulled two bulk–produced recovery potions crafted by ToxicReaper from her Inventory, gripped her axes, and darted forward in a single burst of speed toward the flailing Chips.
She raised her axes and struck true.
Boom!
The mimic split cleanly in half. It disintegrated into scattered wood shavings, leaving behind 50 Frost Tokens as loot.
The chaotic, almost comedic looting process drastically lightened the team’s heavy atmosphere.
Everyone quickly realized that with their guild leader around, no trouble felt truly impossible to beat.
Hours of nonstop clearing yielded massive gains. Many members who had only worn blue–tier gear now sported multiple purple pieces with rare special modifiers, courtesy of the dungeon’s sky–high drop rates. The team’s overall combat power skyrocketed.

They maintained a steady rhythm of combat and rest, never straying too far from their temporary camp. Whenever monster spawns thinned out nearby, they paused to recover stamina.
As time passed, the three squads gradually pulled back toward the abandoned stone chamber.
At the same time, movement stirred constantly outside their base.
Scattered footsteps echoed endlessly from the deeper tunnels.
More guild members who’d received the emergency summons were rushing over in pairs and trios.
“Help! Anyone up ahead, please!”
Around a nearby corner, three battered guild members stumbled forward in a desperate run. Three Abyss Hellhounds, wreathed in ghostly blue flames, hunted closely on their heels.
The trio was completely drained of stamina. They had no strength left to fight, driven solely by the urge to reunite with the main group.
Just then, Hanna and her patrol squad rushed over to cover the stragglers.
“Hanna?” A male member gripped his nicked iron sword, his voice trembling.
When the torchlight fell on the red–haired figure in the windbreaker leading the squad forward, the weight of terror finally lifted from his shoulders.
