RedBean quickly sent several frontline players with heavily damaged gear to line up for repairs.

Meanwhile, Riley kept scanning the grand hall.

She had no interest in these ordinary shops.

She was searching for the Wandering Merchants.

Ever since the blacksmith appeared on Floor 9, she’d suspected deeper floors would spawn more special merchants.

If they found the Wandering Merchants, all their unique monster drops-hard-shell ape remains, white-shell rat tails, vine guard fragments, broken chain puppet cores and more- could be converted into Frost Tokens.

Otherwise, these items would just keep taking up space.

The fog thinned out toward the west side of the hall near the stone pillars.

A simple stall stood there, put together with thick linen cloth and rough wooden planks.

It was small but extremely tidy.

The linen cloth lay perfectly flat, the wooden boards were wiped clean, and clear polished stones lined the corners as decoration. A brass oil lamp hung above the stall, its warm yellow light cutting through the faint mist.

Behind the stall sat a figure buried in a book.

He looked fairly young.

He wore a refined gray-brown scholar’s robe with a gold-rimmed monocle perched on his nose. In his hands was a thick leather ancient tome. A steaming cup of hot coffee rested beside him, thin white curls of steam rising from the surface.

His most striking feature was his pair of pointed ears, sharp and clear under the lamplight.

Riley paused mid-step.

An elf.

The sight instantly reminded her of the Wandering Merchant she’d met in the Monster Forest.

This man had the exact same calm demeanor, as if all the dungeon’s dangers never touched him at all.

Riley walked over.

A small wooden sign sat in front of the stall.

[Trade unique monster drops for Frost Tokens.]

[Limited special goods available for purchase.]

The second Riley drew near, the young man flipped a page of his book and spoke in a gentle

tone.

“One moment, please. Let me finish this passage.”

His voice was pleasant, polite yet distant.

If not for the dungeon surrounding them, the scene would’ve looked like a quiet scholar reading in a bookstore.

Riley waited patiently.

She glanced over the trade list posted on the stall.

Hard-shell ape ears were eligible for token exchange.

White-shell rat tails were eligible for token exchange.

Vine guard wooden masks were eligible for token exchange.

Broken chain puppet cores were eligible for token exchange.

Black bug shells could also be traded, though for a very low price.

RedBean leaned over to check the list, her eyes lighting up.

“We’ve stocked up tons of these materials along the way.”

“Hold on,” Riley said. “Log everything first before we trade.”

The young elf finally closed his book.

He lifted his head and looked straight at Riley.

His pale green eyes curved slightly under the lamplight.

“It’s been a while, Miss.”

Riley froze in surprise.

She’d assumed all elf wandering merchants looked similar-pointed ears, scholar robes, polite and reserved, and always buried in books.

But he’d recognized her directly.

“Good?” Riley asked in disbelief.

It was indeed the Wandering Merchant she’d encountered in the Monster Forest.

The young man smiled and nodded.

“You still remember me. As a wandering merchant, this makes for a wonderful reunion.”

Felix muttered quietly from the side, “Our president really knows everyone, huh?”

Good ignored the quiet comment and greeted Riley politely.

“You’ve brought quite a few companions this time.”

“What are you doing here?” Riley asked.

Good smiled calmly. “A wandering merchant goes wherever there are trades to be made.”

“Even inside a dungeon?”

“Any place with customers, goods, and allowed trading rules is a place for business.”

His answer was perfectly safe, with no loopholes to pry open.

Riley wasn’t surprised.
