Chapter 562 Move Quietly
Chapter 562 Move Quietly
[PineappleBeer: Look, the mobs here aren’t hard to kill. The problem is every fight makes way too much noise. Don’t charge and slash through every for just to rush here.)
Riley read the message and shot a quick reply,
[SpicyBurger: Do I really seem like the type to brute-force my way through every mob?]
PineappleBeer waited a couple seconds before answering.
[PineappleBeer: No. I just know you’re in a rush.]
Riley stared at her comms card, the tight stress in her chest softening a little.
She was still anxious, far from relaxed.
But she finally had solid proof that the two of them were alive and safe. Safe enough to joke and bicker with her over the chat, no less.
That calmed her down more than any empty words could.
Right away, Riley put all the safety rules PineappleBeer and TartKing had sent her into a team broadcast, then sent it to Hanna, RedBean, NorthWind and the rest of the core crew.
Hanna replied instantly.
[Hanna: Got it. Are you heading out to find PineappleBeer and TartKing?]
[SpicyBurger: Yeah. They’re trapped in the Silent Bell Hall dungeon. They’re safe for now, but they can’t get out.]
[Hanna: Alright. I’ll round up everyone nearby and regroup. Stay sharp out there.]
Riley moved forward carefully. She circled the fallen stone pillar on her right, avoided the pal gray floor cracks, and hurried along the clear stone tiles with no copper wiring.
This corridor felt nothing like a regular dungeon tunnel.
The previous floors were wide, but they still felt like ordinary underground paths.
Floor 13 was completely differant. It

Huge stone bells jutted halfway out of the walls.
Broken iron chains hung down from the high ceiling.

Some stone doorframes stood roughly fifteen feet tall, their frames carved with worn, broken bell markings.
Copper wires snaked across the stone floors like veins. They ran up wall cracks and vanished inside the ruined bell structures.
Every now and then, a deep, muffled bell toll rumbled from far off in the distance.
Riley paused each time she heard it.
Fear wasn’t what stopped her.
Pineapple Beer had warned her the copper wires would activate right after every bell rang.
Sure enough, after the second toll, she watched a stretch of copper wires glow faintly.
The glow only lasted a few short seconds.
During that tiny window, a small gray mob sitting beside the wires accidentally stepped on one. It locked up stiff instantly.
The next second, a warped burst of light from the ground swallowed it whole.
When the mob reappeared, it’d been teleported dozens of yards away to another corridor f
A Hollow Shell Patrol was walking right through that exact spot.
The broken bell stuck in the patrol’s chest rattled loudly. Its hollow head twisted straight toward the confused little mob.
Riley didn’t stick around to watch the rest. She instantly figured out how Pineapple Beer and TartKing got trapped in the puzzle dungeon. They’d definitely been teleported in by accide while rushing ahead.
She steered clear of the active wires and kept moving.
She ignored every small mob in her path. There was no point wasting time fighting them unless they blocked her way completely.
Up ahead at a corridor junction, another Hollow Shell Patrol wandered into view.

This one was taller than the last. A big dark gray broken bell was embedded in its chest, and its arms looked like thick stone pillars wrapped tight in copper wires. Every step it took made the shattered bell in its torso shake gently.
Riley froze on the spot.
She stepped back half a pace and pressed flat against a broken stone doorway.
The Hollow Shell Patrol stepped out into the open junction, its hollow head slowly sweeping the surrounding area.
Riley kept her breathing light and quiet.
These things had no eyes. They hunted purely by sound.
On a normal day, she’d charge right in, smash its chest bell with one hit, and take out its limbs up close.
But PineappleBeer’s warning echoed in her head. Hitting the broken bell too hard would draw every nearby patrol mob.
It wasn’t worth the hassle.
The Hollow Shell Patrol stopped in the middle of the fork, less than six yards from Riley’s hiding spot.
She could see tiny cracks covering its broken bell and loose copper wires trailing from its back scraping faint lines across the stone floor.
