Chapter 564 Long-Awaited Reunion
She crouched down for a closer look. A thin strip of black cloth, was tucked under the scratch mark
She recognized the fabric right away.
Riley pulled the cloth free, revealing a tiny copper button hidden underneath

The button was stuck in the bell’s stone surface, at blended in with the copper rust. You’d never notice it if you weren’t looking hard enough.
Riley held off on pressing it directly.
She tapped the button gently with her axe handle first.
No sound came out at all.
The broken bell engraving on the stone door glowed faintly for a split second.
Riley then reached out and pressed the copper button.
Click.
The noise was barely audible.
All three stone bells shook at the same time, but not a single bell tone rang out.
The twelve copper slots on the door lit up in sequence.
A narrow slit opened on the stone door, just wide enough for one person to squeeze through,
Riley didn’t hesitate. She turned sideways and slipped inside.
The second she crossed the threshold, every sound from the outside vanished completely.
The wind, distant bell tolls, monster scraping noises-all of it was gone.
Even her own footsteps sounded muted and soft.
The dungeon’s interior was far bigger than it looked from the outside.
Riley stepped onto dark gray stone tiles, staring at a round bell hall up ahead.
The domed ceiling towered high above. Twelve copper bells of varying sizes hung down from the top.
Each bell had a thin copper chain dangling below it. Instead of a striking hammer, every chain linked straight to one of the twelve copper slots carved into the floor.
A stone platform sat right in the center of the circular hall.
It was carved with a ring of broken bell patterns.
Each gap pointed a different way, looking like a set of jumbled clock markings.

stone doers lined the surrounding walls, each marked with a different number of short horizont af lines
There were zero written instructions énywhere.
Riley took a step forward, and a figure lifted their head on the other side of the platform.
The person wore sleek dark light armor with their hood half covering their lace, holding a thin copper shard in one hand
They blended perfectly into the shadows, easy for most people to miss, but Ridey knew exactly who it was at first glance
It was PineappleBeer.
Tartking stood up right beside her. 4
She wore a mage robe, with a greatsword slung over her back. She held a half-finished potion bottle, and her face lit up the second she spotted Riley. She quickly swallowed the potion in her mouth.
“Burger!” she whispered quietly.
It was obvious loud noise wasn’t allowed in this place.
She was clearly thrilled, but forced her voice to stay low.
Riley walked over to them.
TartKing hurried forward two steps and looked her over carefully.
“Are you hurt at all?”
Riley shook her head. “I’m fine. What about you two?”
TartKing didn’t buy it for a second. “You definitely went through a ton out there.”
As she spoke, bright light bloomed in her palm and washed over Riley’s body.
PineappleBeer set down the copper shard beside the stone platform and smiled faintly, teasing her.
“She’s tougher than most boss mobs. No need to worry so much.”
Riley shot her a look. “You two seem pretty relaxed.”

A tiny smile tugged at PineappleBeer’s lips. “That’s because we didn’t have eighty people rushing us nonstop.”
Riley raised an eyebrow. “You heard about that?”
“Hanna’s quick. She sent us a quick update while you were heading over,” PineappleBeer explained.
TartKing spoke softly. “We were so freaked out at first when we found out this dungeon was full of survivors from other servers.”
She paused briefly, then added quietly, “But seeing you safe now? I’m so relieved.”
Riley looked at the two girls in front of her.
From Floor 8 all the way up to Floor 13.

Countless dungeon layers, endless monsters, checkpoints, traps, teleports, and bizarre unknown rules stood between them
She’d pushed through everything the whole tiffe, solely focused on finding them.
Now they were finally right in front of her.
The heavy weight sitting in Riley’s chest melted away completely
She skipped the sappy speeches. She just stepped forward and hugged Tartking and PineappleBeer one after another
“As long as you’re both alive.”
PineappleBeer fell silent for a moment.
Then she nodded. “Yeah.”
TartKing sniffled, quickly holding back her emotions. She pulled a handful of small cakes out of her inventory and handed them to Riley.
“I figured you’re probably low on supplies.”
Riley took them, kept one in her hand, and took a bite.
“You guessed right. I ran through all my reserves earlier.”
After finishing half the cake, she asked, “What’s the deal with this dungeon anyway?”
PineappleBeer walked back to the central stone platform and pointed at the broken bell patterns.
“This is the Silent Bell Hall. There are no NPCs and no clear rules. We’ve only figured out three key things so far.”
TartKing jumped in right away to explain, “First, don’t ring the bells randomly. We messed up and rang the wrong one at the start, and two mechanism monsters spawned straight out of the walls.”
PineappleBeer nodded.
“Second, the twelve floor slots correspond to the twelve bells above, but it’s not a simple one-to-one match. The copper chains are misleading. Several of them cross over and connect to different bells.”
୮
TartKing gestured toward the stone doors lining the walls.
“Third, the short lines on each door mark some kind of unlock order. We already opened the three-line door and got a copper shard from it. We still haven’t cracked the five-line and seven-line doors.”

Riley glanced around the circular bell hall.
The silence here was almost suffocating.
Twelve copper bells hung high overhead.

No two bells were the same size or condition. Some had chipped edges, some were missing their clappers entirely. Others were etched with fine thin lines, or coated in thick layers of copper rust.
Twelve copper slots on the floor spread out from the central stone platform, like a tangled set of puzzle circents.
Several copper shards lay scattered along the platform’s edge.
Some were whole and intact.
Some had broken corners.
A few were marked with one single line, while others had three.
Riley quickly got the gist of it.
This dungeon didn’t give you clear hints to follow.
You had to observe first, guess the rules, and figure things out through trial and error.
Mistakes wouldn’t get you killed straight away, but they wasted time, spawned monsters, and even messed up the progress.
PineappleBeer spoke up. “We think the twelve bells match twelve different spots. The direction of the broken bell carvings probably sets the activation order. But here’s the catch-the sound mechanics do not work the usual way.”
Riley looked over at her. “What do you mean?”
TartKing picked up a copper shard and set it gently into a groove on the platform’s edge.
It made no sound at all.
But one of the bell carvings on the platform flickered bright for a split second.
“This place lives up to its name, the Silent Bell Hall,” PineappleBeer explained. “Ringing a bell might make no noise at all, but it always leaves a mark. Every correct move lights up a bell carving. Wrong moves loosen the stone doors and spawn trap mobs.”
Riley stared at the recently lit pattern.
“So you’ve been trying to figure out which bell to activate first?”
“Exactly.” TartKing nodded. “And there’s multiple sequences. The three-line door took three steps to unlock. The five-line one needs probably five steps, and the seven-line one needs seven. We might have to beat all of them to open the final path.”
Riley didn’t jump straight into testing.
She circled the entire platform once, then tilted her head up to study the twelve hanging bells.

Pineappleleer didn’t rush her.
TartKing waited quietly tea,
Now that the three of them were together, the heavy stifling silence in the hat felt way easier to bear.
After finishing her inspection, Riley asked, “What have you already tried?.
PineappleBeer kicked a flat stone slab over to her
They’d carved rough notes into it by hand. With no paper or pens, they’d used their dagger and greatsword tip to scratch down everything they’d found.
