Chapter 61 The Truth
Chapter 61 The Truth
“Looks like it’s true—I just saw them carrying some high–tier loot…”
“Seriously? I’m heading over now.”
“Buzz_cut: If anyone spots them, spread the word. They kill on sight and only ambush Leave those dirtbags to Nightfall. Guild members, rally up! That lunatic is dangerous!”
Watching the exaggerated accusations and rallying cries flood the screen, Riley let out a laugh.
These guys couldn’t win fair and square, so they’d switched to spreading rumors–trying others to do their dirty work.
“They’re unbelievable. They tried to rob us, and now they’re flipping the story,” TartKing muttered, ready to fire back in the chat, but Riley stopped her.
“Not worth it. If we respond, we’ll expose our IDs. Once we craft the new gear, we’ll settle t properly.”
Riley figured defending themselves would only reveal who they were. Staying hidden mea safety–out in the frozen wastes, visibility was low anyway, so what did it matter?
Besides, there were only six hours left until the dungeon closed. If they kept their heads do they’d make it through just fine.
“Is this place actually safe?” Riley turned to Pineapple Beer.
The question had been growing in her mind for a while now.
Pineapple Beer knew this dungeon inside out. Whether it was boss mechanics, convoluted alternate routes, or even this unmarked hidden safe room–she seemed to have all the
answers.
That wasn’t normal Not even close
Pineapple Beer was sitting on an old wooden crate, carefully dressing a wound on her arm At Riley’s question, her hands stilled for a second
“It’s safe,” she said evenly “It’s a glitch spot generated when the dungeon loaded. A corner the system overlooked. Even monsters won’t wander here unless someone literally stumbles into
it.”

What if I told you I found out last run? Would you believe me?”
Riley blinked. “Last run? But the system announced this is a brand–new dungeon.”
“Right!” TartKing cut in. “They said it’s never been cleared before!”
Pineapple Beer took a slow breath, as if steadying herself.
“For you guys, yeah, it’s the first time. But for me…”
She hesitated, then pushed ahead.
“This is my second time living through this world.”
Riley’s eyes widened. She nearly dropped her water bottle.
“You mean… you’re reliving this? Like a reset?”
This game–this whole frozen nightmare–was getting wilder by the minute She’d thought her craft bench glitch was a crazy advantage, but a player with past–life memories?
“Something like that,” Pineapple Beer said quietly.

She looked down at her hands. “Those memories cut off at the twentieth dungeon floor. I fe like… I have to get back there. To understand what happened.”
Riley and TartKing just stared, completely thrown.
