Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1757

All the teachers turned at the sound of crying. The pre-K teacher rushed over. “Swift, honey, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?”

The preschool teacher hurried up too. “Henry, what are you doing over here?”

One little boy was bawling, while Henry just looked up at his teacher, wide-eyed and innocent.

Swift was crying his heart out, and Henry just stood there, totally confused. The pre-K teacher instinctively switched to English and asked Swift, “Did someone bully you?”

Swift nodded, still sniffling.

Henry’s teacher, who understood, quickly said, “Let’s not jump to conclusions. Our kids wouldn’t bully anyone.”

Meanwhile, Henry’s smartwatch was still glowing—he’d completely forgotten he was on a video call with Cooper.

Back at home, Cooper had his phone on speaker. He and Jennie were listening in, both frowning at the chaos. Jennie was bristling. “No way. Our little guy would never bully anyone.”

Cooper shot her a look. “Calm down, let’s hear them out.”

Henry was pulled aside. “Henry, did you bully Swift?”

He shook his head, totally calm. “Daddy and Mommy said I can’t be mean to my friends!”

“Then why is Swift crying?”

Henry blinked, genuinely puzzled. “Teacher, who’s Swift?”

The teacher was speechless.

Meanwhile, the other teachers tried to get Swift’s side. Somehow, the story turned into Henry from the preschool being accused of bullying Swift from pre-K.

But there were no cameras in the playground, so no one really knew what happened. The teachers were sweating bullets.

Did the kids actually fight?

“There’s nothing more to hear—they’re about to call the parents. Didn’t you catch that?”

Jennie’s eyes flashed with frustration. “Our sweetie would never hurt another kid.”

Cooper dialed his brother-in-law. Andre picked up as he was on his way to a meeting. “Yeah, Cooper?”

Andre walked a few more steps, then stopped, his thick brows drawn together. “Got it.”

After he hung up, Noah fell in step beside Andre as they entered the elevator. Noah was about to push the conference room floor, but Andre went straight for the basement parking button.

Noah swallowed, a little nervous. “Is everything alright, sir?”

Andre took a deep breath. “My son’s landed me in hot water again.”

Noah thought, not for the first time, that ever since Henry started kindergarten, the boss’s life hadn’t gotten any easier.
