Mia pulled out her own phone. "Let me text them and ask."

Meanwhile, Chad's phone rang. "Hey, Molly. Tonight I—"

"Daddy, it's Wayne."

A gentle warmth spread across Chad's face. "Hey, sweetie. Are you tired? Missing Daddy?"

Wayne gave a soft hum. "Are you coming home, Daddy?"

"I'll be back tomorrow. Did you have anything yummy for dinner tonight?"

While Wayne chatted with his dad, Mia received her replies. "Your godmother just got home. Your brother and sister are still walking, about five minutes away."

From the front seat, Andre asked, "What did you all do today?"

"Caught a cheater!"

"Anya said it! She said we went to catch a cheater. I don't know what it means." But he had certainly memorized it.

Andre looked at his wife. "Was it Leo?"

"You raised the boy. Do you think that's possible?" Mia fired back.

Andre agreed it was highly unlikely and turned his gaze back to his troublemaking son.

Mia sighed, explaining. "It was Anya's boss. She took Anya with her. We were talking about it, and who knew this little guy was eavesdropping again? He asked me what it meant, and I didn't know how to explain it, so I just brushed it off. Of course, he remembered."

Henry blinked his big, bright eyes, shining like dark gems. "I have a good memory."

"Oh, really? What else do you remember?"
