Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1850

Aunt Mia quickly snagged Wayne, applying the balm while issuing a warning. "Sweetie, no licking. Your lips will get sore."

Knowing full well the kids lacked self-control, Mia threw in an extra threat. "If your lips get sore, you won't be able to eat any more food."

Henry froze. "..."

Mia looked at her son. "Henry, you're the older brother. Go tell him why he can't lick his lips."

Henry marched over to his cousin. "Wayne, the mouth stuff is poison!"

Mia had no idea what kind of wild logic they were trading, but every time she checked on them, neither boy was licking his lips.

After playing outside for a good while, Molly finally came back inside, collapsing on the couch next to her best friend. "What time did you finally go to sleep last night?"

"No idea."

Jade smirked, dropping a heavy hint. "Looks like that gold bar came with a pretty hefty 'price tag.'"

Mia caught her drift entirely. "Why are you up so early? Did Chad wake you up again?"

"Chad didn't, but Leo did. Weren't you woken up by your little sweetie, too?"

A maid set a fresh bowl of fruit on the table. Mia grabbed two oranges, tossed one to Molly, and started peeling hers. "Henry and I are on winter break. You're not. Why aren't you at work?"

"The roads are bad, my driving skills are questionable, and Coleen is worried. She told me to stay home until the snow melts."

"I thought your driving was fine now?" Mia asked.

"I think it's fine, but Coleen doesn't agree."

"So you're on a forced vacation?"

Jade nodded.

Mia looked mildly impressed. "You know, you could just drive down the mountain yourself and give your mom a surprise."

"A smart person always holds something back. I'm just laying the groundwork for my future vacations."

"So, when you take over Chade Inc., is the boss just going to skip work every time it snows?"

"Once I'm the boss, why wouldn't I?" Molly countered effortlessly.
