Knowing his girlfriend was coming back today, Leo had meticulously cleaned his entire apartment that morning.

Chunky had also returned from his hometown. He had brought back a massive haul of homemade jerky his parents had forced upon him, intending to give some to the young couple.

As soon as Chunky stepped out of the elevator, he saw Leo furiously mopping the floor. "Wow, rolling out the red carpet for me? You're even doing chores, and you left the balcony door open to air the place out in this freezing weather."

Leo didn't even turn around, scrubbing at a spot on the tiles. "I'm rolling out the red carpet for Anya. Her parents are coming over this afternoon."

Before Anya moved in, Leo used to at least make his bed. But since they started sharing a room, he had gotten totally lazy. Anya was the one who always made the bed in the mornings.

She frequently washed the sheets and duvet covers, only calling him in when she needed help putting them back on. "Leo, come help me pull this corner!"

Chunky dropped the massive bag of food onto the dining table, noticing the floor was still slick with water. "This is all from back home. Have Anya figure out how to cook it. I'm heading out. See you at the office."

At noon, the Calder family had lunch at the Cedillo estate.

Just as everyone was sitting down in the dining room, they realized the kids were missing again.

Mia rolled up her sleeves and marched toward the door. "I'll find them."

Three minutes later, she marched back in, dragging her son by the collar.

Behind him trailed two very guilty-looking little minions.
