Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1923

"Once my country builds one, I'll be the first to take you on a ride!" Kristen held the little boy close, absolutely enamored with the soft, chubby toddler. She had spent countless hours staring at the baby photos and videos on Cooper's phone, wishing she could dive into the screen to squeeze the tiny little guy.

Henry nodded enthusiastically in his aunt's arms. Having a princess for an aunt was the best—he even got to see spaceships!

Sitting in the back seat of the car, Cooper looked over at Kristen. "Take off the mask. Let me see how your face is doing."

Kristen pulled down her mask, and Cooper immediately frowned. "I told you not to wear makeup, but you didn't listen. See? It's worse now!"

"I can't go out in public without makeup."

"You painted your face like a ghost. Is that any better?"

"Even a ghost puts on makeup before going out."

"Are you trying to scare the other ghosts to death?"

Kristen fell silent, speechless.

The two of them bickered back and forth, leaving Henry completely bewildered.

He stared at his normally calm uncle, wondering why he was acting so different.

Mia and Andre's video call came through. "Is Henry crying?"

"Mama, I'm not crying."

Andre chimed in from the side. "Don't run around causing trouble. Have fun for a few days and then hurry back." It was obvious that the parents were hovering around the phone, deeply missing their little troublemaker who had gone off to have the time of his life.

When he was home, they wanted to ground him; the second he left, they missed him terribly.

"I know, Daddy! Are you missing me?"

Andre chuckled softly. "...Dad wouldn't miss a little walking disaster like you."
