"I have no idea," Owen replied.

"Ask your mom."

"My mother doesn't know either."

"What kind of mother is that?" Cooper retorted.

"My mother is the Queen of the nation," Owen stated.

"Just because she's the Queen doesn't mean she isn't her daughter's mother." Cooper sounded a bit resentful, evidently feeling a pang of protective frustration for Kristen. "I guess I just don't understand that level of duty. Since none of you know, I'm taking Kristen to get a full blood panel to test for everything."

Cooper hung up, not noticing his surroundings as he walked off to consult the doctor about running a comprehensive allergy test.

Around the corner of the stairs, a bare-faced Kristen was holding Henry's hand, looking like an older sister playing hide-and-seek with her mischievous little brother. However, the silence on the young woman's face and the complex mix of sorrow and fleeting joy in her eyes left her utterly speechless.

Henry, on the other hand, was fully committed to the game of hide-and-seek while simultaneously trying to eavesdrop on his uncle's call. But whatever foreign gibberish his uncle was speaking went completely over his head.

Henry looked up at Kristen, who was unusually quiet. "Kristen, what's wrong?"

Five minutes later, Cooper found the two of them hiding around the corner. "Kristen, come on. We need to draw some blood."

In the lab, Cooper had to pin Kristen down, holding her arm firmly as he exasperatedly told the nurse, "Just draw it already!"

"How dare you! Do you think you can just take my royal blood whenever you please? If you stick me with that needle, I'll order you all to be lashed!"

The medical staff hesitated, staring at the woman in Cooper's arms. They were terrified—because she really was a princess. She wasn't just role-playing.

"Hurry up and do it. It's on Owen's orders," Cooper urged.
